Teddi Mellencamp offered an update on her health journey on social media this week amid her ongoing battle with stage 4 cancer.
Months after doctors discovered that the 43-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum’s melanoma had spread to her brain and lungs, Teddi continues to keep her fans and followers in the loop with her treatment plan, sharing the latest news on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, along with a photo of the scars she has on her head.
“Tomorrow is a big day. I get another MRI to see if treatment is working. I also have another round of immunotherapy. Feeling positive and also sad and scared,” Teddi wrote in the caption of a video in which she was seen giving fans a look at the baldness she has throughout her scalp.

In a second post, which, like her first, included Rachel Platten‘s “Fight Song,” Teddi revealed what her scalp looked like soon after she underwent emergency surgery to remove several tumors on her brain.
“[Sixish] weeks ago. I think,” she shared with the image.
Earlier this month, as she continued to fight back against the aggressive disease, Teddi confirmed that more tumors had been discovered on her brain.
“I’m listening to my body, but also staying active and doing things that I love because when I do too much laying [around], I get pretty sad. On the days I’m feeling low, I can get really emotional, and if I’m open with the people in my life, then I have an easier time resting. When I try to pretend I’m OK and resting, it’s hard for me,” she told Us Weekly before the findings.
Then, during an interview on Nightline, Teddi revealed she’d been told her chances of survival were “50/50,” primarily due to the newness of immunotherapy research.
“I really like to have control, and this is completely out of my control, and for the first time, I’m like, really scared,” she confessed.
Also speaking of her chances of survival, Teddi wrote an emotional message on her Instagram Story.
“Of course I know the chances but I truly believe with my whole heart. I will beat this and watch my kids graduate. Vent on the pod and have everyone get mad at me. Annoy my siblings by reminding everyone I am the favorite. Etc,” she shared.
