Teddi Mellencamp reveals she is 'not okay' as she speaks out amid affair scandal

Teddi Mellencamp has broken her silence amid rumors that she allegedly had an affair with her horse trainer.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 43, thanked her All In accountability coaching team for keeping her on track during this difficult period.

Sharing a photo of a healthy green juice, Mellencamp began the post by writing, 'It's okay not to be okay.'

She continued, 'We are humans. We make mistakes. We have highs and lows but it's one foot in front of the other. It's Monday morning.

'Thank you to my @goallinbyteddi team. I am up following my morning routine.'

She followed the post with a short clip of herself on the treadmill, captioning it, 'Needed this run.'

The day before, Mellencamp posted a morning selfie in bed with daughter Slate and son Cruz.

It comes after the former reality star publicly addressed headlines about her alleged cheating on estranged spouse Edwin Arroyave with her married horse trainer Simon Schroeder.

'What I can say, which I'm trying very… there's multiple sides to every story,' the ex-Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said on her podcast Two Ts in a Pod with Tamra Judge.

'I'm sure everyone has seen everything all over the World Wide Web,' she added.

Mellencamp was measured in her words when speaking on the sensitive topic, which comes two weeks after she filed for divorce from Arroyave, 47.

'I'm not going to confirm or deny anything,' the accountability coach said, adding cryptically that 'there's many people involved' in her current situation.

Mellencamp and Arroyave are parents to three children - daughter Slate, 12, son Cruz, 10, and daughter Dove, four, and she is stepmother to his daughter from a prior relationship, Isabella, 15.

'I once again, say the same statement I said before - the kids, they're the priority; for the time being that's all I'm going to discuss on this,' Teddi said. 'Small kids are involved, family members - you don't want to throw other people under the bus.

'When it comes to kids and other people's lives that didn't sign up for this or did sign up for this, I got to just take a beat.'

Mellencamp, whose father is singer-songwriter John Cougar Mellencamp, 73, said she felt she needed to say something in regards to the affair issue to keep things 'moving along' on the podcast.

The blonde beauty said that while she isn't 'ready to process or talk about or involve the kids in' certain issues centered around the split,' she's 'still here,' 'showing up for work,' and 'doing the best that [she] can.'

Mellencamp and Schröeder allegedly cheated for months amid their respective marriages, and during a timeframe his wife Karli Postel had been expecting - and delivered - their second child, a source told Dailymail.com on Wednesday.

'Karli thought it was suspicious that her husband was in Florida when she was giving birth' in California, the insider said.

Postel eventually 'found text messages on Simon's phone that exposed the affair,' the insider said, and 'confronted Simon and Teddi about it and they confessed,' with Teddi vowing to her 'it would not happen again.'

Postel initially 'didn't tell' Arroyave about his spouse's extramarital affair, and 'was willing to give Simon another chance and stayed with him,' the insider said.

Things reached a boiling point in October when Postel 'found proof' that the affair was ongoing and that it had become 'emotional.'

'Simon had a history of cheating and Karli was tired of being connected to him. Edwin only learned of the affair late last month when Karli told him.'

Teddi Mellencamp discusses privacy measures to protect children

Mellencamp's timing in filing for divorce at the beginning of the month was a tactical move to stay ahead of the split and control the narrative, according to the source.

'She filed for divorce from Edwin so that he did not have the chance to file and get her for adultery,' the source said. 'It has been alleged that the marriage ended because Edwin cheated on Teddi, but it is actually the other way around.'

Mellencamp said that she and Arroyave had split after a 13-year marriage a day after she filed divorce documents, listing October 20 as their separation date and irreconcilable differences as the cause.

She said via a November 2 Instagram statement, 'After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.'

The star added that she did not want to make 'a public statement' on the issue, but 'felt being open, honest, and vulnerable is the best path forward' to 'protect [her] family from undue speculation and rumors.'
