Teddi Mellencamp is being forced to pause her immunotherapy treatment amid her battle with stage 4 cancer.
The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star provided an update to her “Two T’s in a Pod” listeners during Wednesday’s episode.
“Essentially, I haven’t been feeling good for about a month, which was kind of shocking to me, and I think, mentally did a lot to me,” she began, detailing that she felt good after undergoing surgeries and starting radiation and immunotherapy.
However, things quickly changed as she recalled asking herself, “Why do I feel like I can barely open my eyes or keep my words straight?”
After getting an emergency appointment with her doctor, she was told that she will get sicker the longer she gets immunotherapy treatments.
Despite previously having the strength to take care of herself and go out, it “really hit” her recently.
“They did a bunch of scans and everything’s looking good, everything’s shrinking. They’re not seeing a bunch but so it’s showing that why I medically feel so sick is from the immunotherapy,” the 44-year-old explained.
“So we’re going to take a little break on the immunotherapy to get my body back feeling stronger. And I’m on steroids and we’re doing everything that we can to get me back to feeling like I can do this, I can do all the things.”
She also added, “I’ve never once felt that way until recently, and it’s it’s heartbreaking.”
The latest update on Mellencamp’s treatment comes two months after she told her podcast listeners and co-host Tamra Judge that the tumors in her brain were shrinking, per her latest scan.
“And then today I had the scan where they checked my lungs, and they are shrinking, and one of them has shrunk so much you can barely even see it,” she added before her doctor confirmed that “everything’s just heading the correct way.”
The former Bravolebrity was diagnosed with skin cancer in October 2022 before revealing in February of this year that the cancer had metastasized to her brain and lungs.
After performing emergency surgery to remove some of the brain tumors, she noted that more were found during a scan in April.

Mellencamp also shared that doctors gave her a 50/50 chance of survival.
Just days ago, Mellencamp was also faced with burglars attempting to break into her and estranged husband Edwin Arroyave’s Los Angeles home while they were inside with their three children.
An insider told Page Six on Tuesday, “Thankfully, their security system worked, the police got there quickly and the perpetrators ran away.”
The couple went on to tell us in a joint statement, “We are grateful that everyone is unharmed. While we are shaken, we are fortunate to have the latest in home security systems, which scared off the intruders.
“Authorities were alerted and swiftly responded. We appreciate everyone’s heightened concern in light of recent criminal activities in our area, but we are safe.”
Arroyave and Mellencamp are in the middle of an amicable divorce after she filed to end their marriage in November 2024. He has, however, stayed by her side as she battles the cancer.
During Wednesday’s podcast episode, Mellencamp explained that “nothing’s changed in that other than that [they’re] on hold because of what’s happening to [her] medically.”
“But he’s had to step in and help me because I, some days, can’t do it.”
