Teddi Mellencamp is opening up about her hair loss as she battles Stage 4 melanoma.
On April 6, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, who is fighting against the illness (which has spread to her lungs and brain), posted an Instagram photo of herself with her recently shaved hair. "The other side of my head is completely bald. Please refer your fave non-itchy or hot wigs," Teddi captioned the post.
She continued, joking, "Dear half-wig/half-baseball caps from Amazon… let’s do better. I was so excited for you. You hurt my feelings."
Additionally, Teddi, who shares kids Slate, Cruz, and Dove Arroyave with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave (she's also a stepmom to his daughter, Isabella), took to her Instagram Stories to share more.
"Didn't realize I was going to miss the buzz cut and cry when I washed my hair and a chunk of hair came out in my hand," Teddi wrote over a text message screenshot. In the text, Teddi snapped a photo of her hair loss, asking, "What is happening???"
In response, the person she addressed noted the hair loss was normal and assured her it would return. "I promise it will grow back," they wrote."You'll probably have a little more fall out."

Teddi Mellencamp shares how she's treating stage 4 cancer
Earlier in April, Teddi shared more details about the next step in her cancer treatment journey, which includes doing both immunotherapy and radiation.
"Some days I feel really strong, and other days I feel really alone, and I think that's a normal part of what any of us are going through. And that's OK," Teddi shared in a video she recorded while resting in bed. "Stage 4 cancer can be scary. Yesterday was the first day I ever had to do immunotherapy and radiation on the same day. And I feel so tired and run down, but I know it's going to get better again... It will get better."
Additionally, Teddi shared a selfie from one of her treatment sessions.

"45 mins in here — hopefully saving my life," she wrote alongside the snap.
