Teddi Mellencamp Explains Kyle's Dog Fight With Woman, Her Soiled Pants, and Why She and Erika Didn't Like Each Other at First, Plus Regrets and Controversy Surrounding Dad John's Burial CommentsTeddi Mellencamp and Erika Jayne spoke of Kyle Richards‘ near-altercation with a Los Angeles woman on Friday’s episode of their podcast.

Days after the 56-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was seen on camera feuding with a woman over her treatment of her dogs, Teddi, 43, shed new light on the situation and Erika, 53, revealed how she found out about the tiff as the duo also reflected on the ups and downs of their relationship, regrets, and John Mellencamp‘s controversial comments about Teddi’s potential burial.

“Friday morning, I get a text message from my publicist. ‘Did you and Kyle happen to get into a brawl on Ventura Boulevard this morning?’ And I said, ‘No. No, we didn’t,” Teddi recalled on the April 18 episode of Diamonds in the Rough. “And then she goes, ‘Weird because maybe you could check out this TMZ right here.’”

Although Erika also saw the video on TMZ, she first learned of the drama from Kyle.

“Kyle sent me this video of you, Jen, and Kyle, kind of confronting this, or this woman that was mistreating her dogs … and I go, ‘You gotta be f*cking kidding me,’” she shared. “Kyle’s like videoing and jumping in the back, and you are calm, and just so cool, standing there like, unfazed.”

According to Teddi, the run-in occurred during a walk to the doctor with Kyle and her other friends.

“We see this woman [and] it’s clear she’s like mistreating her dogs. She’s like, dragging her on the ground badly, and they’re like [making noises]. And Kyle, in a polite way, says, ‘Can you please treat your dogs a little nicer?’” she shared. “The woman was completely inappropriate to her dogs. It was scary. [And] I knew it was going to set Kyle off because Kyle has a heart.”

While Teddi thought the incident was over at that point, the woman “went freaking rogue” and Kyle followed her across the street.

“I’m like, ‘Hold up, why are we crossing the street?’ … So then Jen looks at me, and she’s’ like, ‘We need to get over there,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m not sure I’m the best one in the fight right now,’” Teddi revealed.

As RHOBH fans well know, Teddi is currently battling stage 4 brain cancer.

“Then they’re fighting. Then the other woman’s screaming, acting like she’s gonna fight Kyle, and Kyle’s got the phone out. And I just walked in front of her … probably because I don’t know better. I’m like, ‘What are you going to do to hurt me?’” she continued.

Despite the intense drama, Teddi, who was encouraged by a fan to step away from the fight, said all she could focus on was that the woman “had poop in her pants” — and that her appointment was just minutes away.

“We kept calling Animal Control. We called 911 … [But] the woman just pulled the dogs away and that was the end,” she concluded.

Moving on to their friendship, Teddi and Erika admitted they didn’t like each other at first.

“When a new person enters the show … sometimes you don’t get the best feel. And so we didn’t hit it off right away,” Erika shared.

But amid the “Puppy Gate” fiasco of season nine, Erika “gained a lot of respect for [Teddi]” as she seemingly refused to do the dirty work of Lisa Vanderpump, 64, who targeted Dorit Kemsley, 48, for abandoning a dog she adopted from Vanderpump Dogs.

“You were like, ‘I’m not doing this,’ and … that right there made me really think, ‘There’s really substance to this woman.’ And when I saw that, I was like, ‘That’s bold.’ And I liked that … You got the balls and you did it and then I was like,, ‘Oh sh*t. That’s someone who’s telling the truth, and I like that.’ And from then on, I was like, ‘Cool. We’re good,’” Erika revealed.

Meanwhile, Teddi said it was “a little different” for her.

“I think both of us weren’t being our full person. We both were having a lot of struggles,” she reasoned. “And I think both of us felt something was [disingenuous] about the other one. I was putting it on myself. ‘She doesn’t like me.’”

“We were both struggling and could not see eye to eye,” Erika agreed. “I just thought, ‘She’s already made up her mind about me. She doesn’t like me … Leave her alone.”

Although Teddi was only featured in a full-time role on RHOBH for three seasons, she did have a regret that stood out in her mind.

“I wish the way that like, my gut and my little beating heart … would’ve handled [things] was like, just gone directly to the person, but sometimes I would maybe have a stop on the way,” she explained.

Also on the episode, Teddi recalled comments she made about her dad on Two Ts in a Pod earlier this month, in which she revealed statements he made about their family mausoleum.

“We made a total freaking joke about it,” she shared. “He knows me well enough … My dad knows I need some comedy to this because his next quote was like, ‘Alright, now we actually really do have to get talking seriously. We need to talk about your will and your living trust and do the things we need to do.’ But sometimes I don’t want someone to pummel me.”
