Teddi Mellencamp is reflecting on her ongoing cancer journey.
On Monday, April 28, she posted an Instagram photo showing the scars from her brain surgery, as well as her hair growth since the procedure, which she noted was 76 days ago. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum first shared in February that her melanoma had spread to her lungs and brain, and she was diagnosed with multiple stage 4 tumors.
She explained in her Instagram caption that during her visit to the ER, she learned she had brain and lung tumors “the size of plums” that had been there for “6 months to a year.”

“Since that day, I have had multiple surgeries, had rage from the steroids, felt very sick, laughed a ton, ridden horses, loved on my kids and felt great,” she wrote. The podcast host has three children, Dove, 5, Cruz, 10, and Slate, 12, whom she shares with her husband Edwin Arroyave, 37.
“When I first looked at this picture, at the scars on my head and my arm, I cried,” she admitted. “Then, I felt a warmness rush through my body and felt so much peace. Peace from the incredible support system I have in my family and friends. Peace from the outpouring of love from y’all on here. Peace in knowing my story could help somebody save their life.”
She then reiterated for her followers to advocate for themselves and go get checked when “something isn’t feeling right.”

The mother of three also added an Instagram Story, highlighting how thankful she is for her “fighter body.”
She added a selfie, showing off her healing scars, and wrote: “Seeing my scars on my back and head make me cry but also remind me of all the things we can overcome. Very grateful to this fighter body of mine.”
Mellencamp later walked the red carpet Monday night, attending the An Unforgettable Evening 2025 Gala in Los Angeles.

Ahead of her April 28 post, she revealed in her April 23 post, that her doctors believe her treatment “will work,” and she “will be back to [herself] and feeling good.” She also shared that her tumors had “significantly shrunk.”
“Hopefully I am done and I will be cancer-free,” after the upcoming final two immunotherapy sessions, she said. “I'm going to keep a positive outlook because that's the way my doctor just spoke to me. He's like, ‘You did this, you got this. You got that Mellencamp blood, so you’re good.’ ”
