In a preview for the upcoming reunion, Tamra Judge shared her hope that she and Shannon Beador reach “common ground,” and she revealed why she started therapy. Shannon then reacted, declaring that she has “no interest in being friends.”
On the current season of Real Housewives of Orange County, Tamra continually slammed Shannon for her DUI, and insinuated several times that she’s an alcoholic. Throughout the episodes, Shannon also had to face a lawsuit from her ex John Janssen, whose new girlfriend Alexis Bellino joined the cast.
In a preview for the first reunion episode, Shannon revealed that she went on some dates – the first time in a year.
Tamra was then asked to share her intentions for the reunion.
“I want to talk about why I was hurt by what went down, and hope that we can get to a common ground,” said Tamra, speaking directly to Shannon in a video shared by @OMFGRealityTV on X, formerly known as Twitter. “We don’t have to be best friends, but I don’t want it to be uncomfortable and I don’t want it to be toxic.”
Tamra also shared that she started therapy.
“[My goal is] to find out where that anger stems from,” she explained.
Shannon was asked to give her reaction: “I mean, the way I was treated by you this season was unacceptable. You attacked me, and I really don’t have an interest in being friends with you, because what I’m doing in my therapy, I’m creating healthy boundaries, and a healthy boundary is not being in a toxic relationship.”
“Are you saying that our entire friendship was toxic?” asked Tamra.
“Absolutely,” Shannon answered. “Especially when you came back [to] the show. We never got to the point of friendship that we were before. So you can keep exaggerating on how close and how often we spent time together, because we weren’t that close.”
But Tamra claimed they talked “every single day.” Both stars expressed they have ‘open wounds.’
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County air Thursday nights on Bravo.
