Summer House’s Lexi Wood Questions Why Ciara Got Upset When Jesse Asked Her to Stop Touching Him, Addresses What Happened Off-Camera With West and Jesse That Night, Bailee’s Exit, Reunion, and Status With Girls - suong

Summer House has always had a dynamic group of people, which is why the producers added Lexi Wood for the show’s 9th season. Now, before she films her first reunion, the newbie is opening up about where she stands with the other women on the show, how she felt about Ciara Miller getting upset at Jesse Solomon telling her not to touch him, and more in an interview.

As fans know, Ciara and Lexi didn’t hit it off right away. This is because the newcomer fell for Jesse almost immediately and had concerns about Ciara encroaching on her man. Now, things have changed, and Lexi has said she hopes they can forge a friendship. 

Recently, Lexi sat down for an interview with Decider to discuss her inaugural season on the show. One of the first notable points discussed centered around Bailee Henderson, who exited the show early. When asked if she was upset to see Bailee leave, Lexi said, “Yeah, for sure. I think Bailee’s life, with her relationship, she was prioritizing that, which I’m so happy for her.”

She continued, “But it definitely was even more lonely being kind of the single-standing newbie. So yeah, I was definitely sad to see her go. Having that newbie bond that I think everyone had in their first season, I was really looking forward to, but I didn’t get that, which is okay, because I am happy for her.”

Naturally, the tense situation with Jesse and Ciara also came up. The interviewer asked Lexi if she believed Ciara was the issue, and she responded, “To be clear, I never fully blamed Ciara. I was just going by what the girls had been telling me. So, it’s always his fault. And that’s one thing about me, I can ask a girl questions, but I’m never gonna blame a girl. Like, it’s always the guy’s fault. It’s always the guy’s fault, let me say that.”

Related, they also discussed her telling Jesse not to flirt with Ciara, and then the debacle of her touching him. She reflected on this by saying, “A couple episodes ago, the girls said, ‘You need to tell him to stop flirting.’ So I did. And then she touches him. Then he’s like, ‘You need to stop.’ And then she’s mad at him. And I’m like, ‘Wait guys, I wasn’t even there. I have no idea what’s going on. Should I say something, should I not say something?’” 

Lexi added, “But I always just want to have a calm conversation with a girl and never blame her or anything. I think, unfortunately, at the end of summer, when I said I didn’t trust her, it was just because we didn’t connect that much because we had a force in between us.”

She then said, “Yeah, it was definitely a point of confusion for me because, again, I do think there was so much being said off-camera to me as well, where I was like, ‘I don’t know what’s going on. I have no idea.’ I was trying to speed up with everything, with the feelings, with stories, with everything going on. I was overwhelmed.”

Later, they discussed Jesse getting jealous because he thought Lexi and West Wilson were flirting. She revealed that something that happened off-camera may have influenced Jesse’s feelings that night. According to Lexi, “Somebody else that isn’t even on the show actually told me that he was like[to Jesse], ‘Oh, why is West hanging out with Lexi more than you’re hanging out with Lexi tonight?'”

She went on, “And I was like, ‘What? Why would you say that? We’re all friends!’ So I think hearing that, Jesse was definitely like, ‘Oh wait, maybe they were hanging out too much.’ So honestly, there’s nothing there between West and I. Neither of us would go there.”

Her relationship with the other ladies was also discussed. When asked if they are close, she said, “Yeah, we definitely have a girls group chat. Lindsay asked us last week, ‘What are you guys wearing to the reunion?’ I was like, ‘Oh, this is what I’m wearing.’ Gabby answered. The other girls didn’t answer. So I’m actually so excited to see their looks because I’m sure they’re going to slay. And then I see Gabby all the time. I see Lindsay, I hang out with Gemma. She’s so perfect.”

Finally, they also discussed the reunion and what Lexi hopes gets put to bed. She revealed, “I think the biggest thing that I’m hoping to address is just one, why everything was so confusing and why it kind of took so long for people to fill me in with the story about me and what [was] said behind my back. Because even to this episode that’s currently airing, I had no idea that our relationship wasn’t perfect.”
