Ciara Miller says Craig Conover is a better man following his relationship with Paige DeSorbo. The “Summer House” star spoke out about the former couple’s headline-making breakup in a February 2025 interview with Us Weekly.
In the interview, Miller admitted she wasn’t surprised by DeSorbo’s decision to end her three-year relationship with the “Southern Charm” star because she knew there were issues. But she also claimed that her Bravo bestie did a lot behind the scenes to empower Conover to become successful.
“We’re not gonna sit here and act like Craig is just like the ultimate peach,” Miller told the outlet. “I’m sorry, but she did a lot of work to get him to this point where he’s at now. And whether he’ll give her credit or not, the Craig that we know now is not the Craig, you know, that we were dealing with three years ago.”
In the years since meeting DeSorbo, Conover expanded his Sewing Down South home décor business and has partnered to open two restaurants. He also greatly cut down on drinking as he focused on his business empire.
Fans saw DeSorbo’s influence play out on camera. In a scene filmed for the 10th season of “Southern Charm” she advised Conover to revamp the “Pillows and Beer” podcast that he co-hosted with his friend Austen Kroll.
“Pillows and Beer is your side hustle,” DeSorbo told Conover in the episode “Making a Splash.” “Like, why would you not have a podcast like ‘Craig and Friends?’ You rebrand. You have your own new name. It’s a whole new vibe, it’s not Pillows and Beer.’ You can do a podcast on your own. It’s just a clean slate. It’s like new energy. What are you holding on to? You have to sit and think, like, what you want.”
Craig Conover Said He is a Better Person Following His Relationship With Paige DeSorbo
Conover has publicly credited his relationship with DeSorbo for his changed life. During a February 2025 appearance on the “Tamron Hall Show,” he said he was “grateful for his time with DeSorbo. “I’m just grateful for the three years of a relationship that we had,” he told Hall. “It was really great. I’m 100 times a better version of myself now than I was, and I think she is too.”
When DeSorbo first announced the breakup on her “Giggly Squad” podcast on December 30, she praised Conover for changing her, too. “He truly helped me grow so much in these past three years,” she said. “Like, I am a different person than when I started dating him. Like, I truly do feel more mature, more confident, all of these things. And that’s definitely attributed to him.”
At the time, DeSorbo said she hoped she’d remain friends with Conover, but that no longer seems to be the case amid their back and forth barbs in post-split interviews.

Amid the split, Miller also weighed in on DeSorbo’s dating future. During a February 13 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” “The Traitors” alum described DeSorbo as “so eligible” and said she’d like to see her friend date someone totally opposite from Conover next time around.
“I definitely want to see her with someone who is like a 180 from Craig,” Miller said of DeSorbo. “Someone who lives in New York and, like, jet set. Like, not as soft.”
