Summer House's Bailee Henderson Gets Engaged During 'Magical' African Safari-quang

The influencer met her fiancé Shiv in a N.Y.C. park; he popped the question during a trip to Kenya

Wedding bells are ringing in Bailee Henderson’s future!

Henderson, who starred in the ninth season of Summer House, got engaged to her boyfriend while on a trip in Kenya, she revealed in an Instagram post on Monday, June 16.

“I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend🥹❤️,” the New York City-based influencer wrote alongside selfies with her fiancé, who goes by Shiv on social media.

The newly engaged couple smiled widely and looked lovingly into each other’s eyes in the photos. Henderson also held up her hand to show off her engagement ring and later gave a close-up look at the sparkler with a video of her and Shiv holding hands.

She also celebrated the news in a video on TikTok, where she has been documenting much of the couple’s recent safari trip.

“Guys it happened. I’ve been crying all day,” Henderson said in the clip while showing off her ring. “How does it feel now that you have a fianceé?” she asked Shiv, who replied, “It feels the same.”

“Honestly,” he added, “I knew you were going to be mine the moment I met you.”

She captioned the post, "I'm so happy you have no idea!! This week has been beyond magical."

The influencer shared another TikTok hours later, thanking her followers for all of their well-wishes and writing that she “still can’t believe it.”

“Who would’ve thought that a man would want to put a ring on this?” she said at one point during the video, later adding, “I can’t get over this.”

Despite her short-lived stint on the show, Henderson appears to be on good terms with several Summer House stars. Several shared excited reactions to her engagement news, including Amanda Batula, Ciara Miller and Lexi Wood.

“Yayyyy congratulations,” Batula commented on her Instagram announcement, while Miller wrote, “Congrats Bailee!! ❤️❤️❤️.”

Meanwhile Wood, who exited the Bravo show after one season, wrote, “Soooo happy for you!!!!!!!❤️❤️”

Paige DeSorbo also reacted on TikTok, writing, “I’m so happy for you !!!”

Henderson has shared several glimpses into her and Shiv’s relationship on TikTok — including predicting her engagement ahead of the couple’s recent safari trip.

The N.Y.C. influencer began a May video — the start of her “countdown to Kenya” — by telling her followers, “I think I might be getting engaged.” She then revealed how she and Shiv first crossed paths.

"My boyfriend and I met at a park. We met at Tompkins Square Park,” she recalled, adding that she thinks they were “both kind of seeing other people” at the time.

“We talked to each other, like, about our relationships and everything, how we were just … we felt like we were missing something,” she recalled.

They began dating, and, shortly after that, she told Shiv she’s “always wanted to go on a safari,” per Henderson.
