As part of a collaboration with Children In Need, the dance show welcomed much-loved children's character Bluey to the floor for a very special routine.

Bluey performed alongside the pro's in the ballroom in a fun-filled routine.

However, some fans were quick to judge the kids character like they would the real celebs on the show in a light-hearted manner.

Poking fun at the routine, one fan joked: "Bluey is a rubbish dancer - where’s the hip action?"

Elsewhere, some Strictly fans were left unaware as to who the character was and were left baffled by its inclusion on the show.

Unsure what to make of Bluey and his moves, one wrote: "What the hell have I just watched? #strictly #bluey."

Before another responded: "Who or what is a f***ing Bluey?"

However, the routine did not go down too well with regular BBC viewers as they pointed out the routine had actually already been shown twice before.

The routine first aired on Friday night as part of the live Children in Need appeal.

Later in the same evening, it was repeated for those who missed it a first time round.

It was then re-broadcast once again during the results show for any Strictly fans who had not watched the live charity appeal.

Noticing this, one fan said online: "Why are they pushing this Bluey thing? I’ve seen it three times now! Once was enough."

Before someone else commented: "They’re showing the Bluey thing for what feels like the 1000th time."
