JAMIE Borthwick is the latest Strictly star to be struck by its infamous curse — splitting with his girlfriend of a year.
The EastEnders actor had been with his partner Chloe while he appeared on the BBC show and live tour, pals said.
News of their split comes after The Sun On Sunday revealed he had been admonished by BBC bosses for brandishing a sex toy in a video backstage on the tour.
Jamie, 30, chose to keep his relationship with Chloe out of the spotlight and has been photographed with her only once - when they had dinner in London in October.
Those close to Chloe said she ended their relationship after Jamie’s stint on the live run of shows across the country finished.
A source said: “Strictly was a whirlwind for Jamie and they managed to keep it going when he was on the show.
“But Chloe dumped Jamie when he finished the Strictly tour. She said she felt like Jamie didn’t have time for her.
“Seeing the video of him with the sex toy and acting so weirdly made her realise it was the right choice. Jamie acts like a boy in a man’s body. She doesn’t have time for that.”
The Sun On Sunday reported yesterday that Jamie, who plays Jay Brown in EastEnders, and singer Wynne Evans were reprimanded by BBC bosses for mucking about with the sex toy in Birmingham.
Jamie filmed himself with the object.
