Pete Wicks could miss out on the semi-final after being dealt a heartbreaking blow hours before the Strictly Come Dancing quarter-final.
Despite steering clear of last weekend's dance-off, bookies are now tipping the ex-reality TV star for departure this week. Montell Douglas, who also narrowly escaped elimination last time, isn't safe either.
Betway's Mike Reading analysed the latest odds and commented: "Last week, Pete Wicks avoided waltzing off the show despite landing at the bottom of the leaderboard. However, the latest odds suggest his luck is running out, as he's the 8/11 favourite to leave this weekend.
"Unless Pete delivers a show-stopping performance on Saturday night, he's very likely to be in the dreaded dance-off, and it's hard to see him pirouetting past his competition. His potential saving grace could be Montell, who is also in the elimination spotlight with odds of 13/8."
On the topic of potential winners, Mike added: "Meanwhile, Chris McCausland looks like he's gliding effortlessly toward the final, remaining the rock-solid 1/4 favourite to win the show. His main competition Sarah (11/2) and Tasha (6/1) are still in the running to get their hands on the Glitterball Trophy but face an increasingly uphill tango to unseat the comedian and his devoted fanbase," reports the Express.
In a recent turn of events, EastEnders legend Jamie Borthwick was confirmed to have left the dance floor for good after losing in the dance-off against Montell and Johannes Radebe.
During his heartfelt goodbye, Jamie shared his thoughts on the magical essence of Strictly and his appreciation for Michelle Tsiakkas.
Jamie said: "Strictly is magic. That is all I can say. Strictly is magic. Not just everyone who you see in front of the camera, these four here [the judges], but everyone who works on this show. I have such a good bond and relationship with and that's what made me want to do this show, it's the people, not what I'm doing. I've had the best time.
"I could ramble on all day about this one [Michelle]. She's a new pro, and she's absolutely been the most amazing teacher. We have laughed like you wouldn't believe. I have nothing but the utmost respect for everyone on the show, so thank you."
Michelle responded: "I just want to say it goes without saying Jamie is an amazing dancer, and he's improved so much week by week. He's worked so hard to get to where he is. It's my first year with a partner and I've realised that it's so much more than just the dancing, it's the bonds and the friendships that you make. I waited two years for a partner, and I wouldn't have had it any other way."
