New York Rangers JT Miller #nhl #rangersNewly hired head coach Mike Sullivan received a glowing recommendation and praise from New York Rangers star forward JT Miller.

Miller who was part of Team USA during the Four Nations tournament had worked with Sullivan and feels but he is the right man for the job and that he will give the Rangers a new look going forward.

Miller spoke highly of Sullivan in recent interview

I remember when I needed a straight answer, he's the guy. It's a hard game to give those answers sometimes. He's been very straightforward with me.

Very direct. That helps my game. I have time to not think about hockey right now, but I'm looking forward to getting to know him. JT Miller

Miller, along with the rest of the Rangers squad is hoping for a complete reset of the culture on this team and organization along with a greater chance for success a Sullivan will bring a winning style to the team as he has won two Stanley cups with the Rangers archrival the Pittsburgh Penguins over a 10-year period.
Two seasons, the Rangers culture had gone from bad to worse and it became clear that former head coach Peter Laviolette's time with the team was coming to an end even though he had the high praise of several members of his team.
Miller stated that he could not wait to work with Sullivan as he has the upmost respect for him and is ready to go to battle and try to right the ship for the Rangers next season.
He's a great person. I think it's obviously a little looser there than it would be over an 82-game schedule, but he's a great guy. I haven't heard a single bad thing about him. On the coaching front, I just have the utmost respect for him, his resume, his career and what he's been able to accomplish.

I'm really looking forward to working with him. I have so much respect for what he's done in this game. I think it'll be a good fit. - Mike Sullivan

Rangers getting ready for draft and offseason

Sullivan along with general manager Chris Drury his staff will be busy this summer evaluating the roster, preparing themselves for the NHL Entry Draft and then unrestricted free agency on July 1st.
The premise is that the Rangers will be making major changes to the roster whether it's through trade, offer sheets or even unrestricted free agency it's become clear that a major change is needed in several areas of the team.
Only time will tell on what the Rangers will look like next year and going forward but it seems JT Miller is pleased with who will be running the bench.
