Craig Conover and Naomie Olindo’s breakup may be at the root of the latest “Southern Charm” drama, but their real lives are much different than what makes it to TV.

Olindo, 26, and Conover, 30, began dating in 2015 and broke up last year. When Olindo began dating her new boyfriend, Metul Shah, Conover was left with some unresolved feelings that are currently being explored on the show.

“I mean we’ve been friends for a while, so I think … I hope for the best, but I don’t really see her,” Conover told Page Six on Wednesday. And as for how he plans to handle their relationship at the upcomin reunion, “I’d say [I’m] just keeping my feelings in check … honestly, it’s gonna be like swallowing my ego out of respect for Naomie’s new life because I’m a big point-prover and it’s gonna be like — and I don’t like not being right but it’s gonna be more of just sitting back and being like, ‘It doesn’t matter if you’re right or wrong’ even though I’m gonna wanna say stuff. It would do more damage than not.”

Conover added that keeping his opinions to himself has actually helped their friendship.

“Charleston’s a small town but — I ran into Naomi with her boyfriend at her friend’s birthday party the other week, and you know, stuff happens on the show so it’s fine, we can still say hi and be cordial,” he explained. “But if I was on Instagram after the episode trying to prove a point, then I don’t think we would be cordial.”

But his co-star Austen Kroll thinks differently.

“There’s always gonna be an unresolved something between Craig and Naomie, but for the sake of our friend group and such, they always keep it cordial to each other’s face,” he told us.
