“Southern Charm” star Leva Bonaparte said she would like her castmates JT Thomas and Venita Aspen to date.
While speaking to Us Weekly in February 2025, Bonaparte referenced that Aspen revealed she had romantic feelings for Thomas during “Southern Charm” season 10. Thomas also shared that he viewed her in a romantic light. He said, however, that he could not act upon his feelings because he had started exclusively dating another person.
Bonaparte said that despite Thomas having a girlfriend, she is “still rooting” for him and Aspen to be in a relationship. According to Bonaparte, they have strong chemistry.
“If you were to see JT and Venita in real life, I want them to be together. I’m sorry to his girlfriend. I just think their souls are like connected. I was like dying for it because they are just so adorable together. And I’ve seen it,” said Bonaparte during the interview.
Bonaparte also said she wanted Thomas and Aspen to date even when the latter was in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Manny Houston.

In a December 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Aspen spoke about her flirtation with Thomas. She said she was told Thomas had other romantic prospects around the same time he said he had feelings for her.
“Did I just get played? Because I believe, unfortunately, I think I just got played,” said Aspen to the publication.
Aspen also noted that Thomas quit “Southern Charm” before filming the show’s reunion. She suggested that she has not been in communication with Thomas after his decision to leave the series.
“He’s made the sad decision to step away,” said Aspen while speaking to Entertainment Tonight.
As fans are aware, Thomas ended up filming the season 10 reunion.
Venita Aspen Shared How Madison LeCroy Reacted to Her Flirtation With JT Thomas
During a December 2024 interview with “Gabbing With Gib,” Aspen referenced that her friend and castmate Madison LeCroy took issue with Thomas in “Southern Charm” season 10. According to Aspen, LeCroy was accepting of the fact she had feelings for Thomas. Aspen said she was pleased with LeCroy’s reaction as it meant their friendship meant more to her than her dislike of Thomas.
“That meant a lot to me, this is kind of like the first time that’s happened to us in our friendship dynamic. That I’m literally talking to someone that she despises. And it caused a lot of shifts. I risked a lot of relationships in order to make sure JT was around,” said Aspen during the interview.
