Southern Charm Star JT Thomas Defends Paige DeSorbo Against Shep Rose After He Dissed Her Podcast as Austen Kroll Fires Back at JT & Calls Him a "Pick Me"

Season 10 of Southern Charm is nearing its end, and part one of the much-talked-about reunion is imminent. The cast drama also seems to be neverending, as Shep Rose recently called out Paige DeSorbo for never attending cast trips for the series. This led Jarrett “JT” Thomas to step up and defend her, prompting a bit of shade from Austen Kroll

As fans of Southern Charm know, Paige has appeared on several seasons of the show as she was dating Craig Conover up until late last year. While many fans may have enjoyed seeing that, there was probably never an expectation from production that the Summer House star would go on cast trips since she wasn’t officially part of the series.

The official Reality Blurb Instagram account recently shared an article about Shep calling out Paige for not going on cast trips with the Southern Charm cast. He also dissed her popular Giggly Squad podcast by calling it a “stupid a** talk show.” JT replied to the post and defended Paige against Shep.

He said in the comments section, “Can’t blame Paige at all re: the cast trip decision… Also, I love seeing her and Hannah Berner continuing to grow and succeed in life.” It seems many fans appreciated his defense of Paige as his comment received more than 100 likes.

JT Defending Paige

Despite the positive message, JT received some backlash from Austen. Comments By Bravo captured him saying, “One of the most pathetic ‘pick me’ ploys I’ve ever seen. I’m not surprised, though.”

Austen shading JT
‘Pick me’ is a term used to describe a person who attempts to get attention, usually from the opposite gender, by putting down others.

In most cases, people use the term ‘pick me’ against women who point out flaws in other ladies to win favor from men. Regarding JT, he may be trying to up his status with other Bravo stars, as he has burned so many bridges with the main Southern Charm cast. Still, there’s nothing wrong with defending someone he’s probably gotten to know at least a little.

Fans can watch part one of the Southern Charm reunion on March 27.
