Madison LeCroy is setting the record straight about her living arrangements with husband Brett Randle.
Just as Brett made his highly-anticipated debut on the premiere of Southern Charm season nine, Madison, 32, revealed if they have a “long-distance” marriage while also addressing how they “manage” their busy lives and explaining her decision to showcase her relationship on the new episodes.
“I know a lot of people are like, ‘Don’t do it, don’t put your relationship on camera,’” Madison told Us Weekly on September 14. “But I needed the viewers to be able to see that side of me that everyone is missing.”
“I do have a kind side and I do have a family, so I’m really happy that y’all get to see that,” she added.
Madison married Brett in November 2022 after about a year of dating and a year-long engagement. And while they don’t have any kids of their own quite yet, Brett is helping to raise Madison’s 10-year-old son Hudson, who she shares with ex-husband Josh Hughes.
“It’s insane. I’ve never been more in love,” she said of watching Brett bond with her little boy. “And the more time they spend together, it’s just [great].”
“There’s something about this level of confidence that I have. I just feel secure. I’m really happy,” she continued of her marriage.
As they began filming season nine alongside one another months ago, Madison had a bit of a warning for her hubby.
“I [was] more, like, ‘OK, listen, I hope I don’t embarrass us, but things can get a little rowdy,’” she recalled.
According to Madison, “the guys actually really loved Brett and wanted to bring him into this circle,” which she was not on board with. “I was, like, I don’t think that’s going to happen. Sorry.”
Although Madison didn’t want Brett getting too acclimated with the guys of the show, she did allow him to meet her ex-boyfriend, Austen Kroll, 36, and chose to invite him to her and Brett’s post-wedding celebration.
“I just wanted, honestly, Brett to meet Austen and be like, ‘You have nothing to worry about,’” Madison said of the decision. “That’s the truth. I think that it was a good decision.”
In another interview, Madison confirmed her and Brett’s living situation.
“Let me just jump on here and clarify this,” Madison said during a September 14 appearance on Amazon Live, via Bravo’s Style & Living. “So, my husband and I — I don’t know how this got twisted — we’re not long-distance, OK? He literally just travels for work.”
“So this is his home,” she continued of their $1.5 million Charleston home, where they’ve lived since 2022. “This is where we live. This is our full-time residence. He just goes to work just like everybody [else’s] husband that works out of town, and then he comes right home.”
As for how they manage their time apart, Madison said, “Honestly, when he’s gone, I’m still working and, you know, we just can’t wait to see each other as soon as he gets back, so there’s really nothing to manage.”
Last year, after purchasing their property, Madison gushed over her neighborhood.
“I literally am living in Pleasantville, like in the best way possible. Everyone is just so welcoming. I’ve never been this happy in my life,” Madison admitted. “I could cry every day because it’s just bliss.”
“I think this is where I want to raise my future children, and I want Hudson to be here. He likes it so much,” she added. “I for sure see us here for at least the next 10 years or longer.”
