LOVE Island USA producers are having regrets about casting specific contestants for Season 7, as the stars are “seeking attention” over finding true love.
The current season of Love Island USA has been dubbed “the worst ever” by fans because of the stars’ inability to form genuine connections with other islanders.
Fans have also expressed their outrage over the amount of sex taking place this season, as opposed to previous seasons where contestants made love in the private Hideaway.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal producers are regretting their casting decisions.
“Honestly, some of these people should never have been cast,” a production source claimed to The U.S. Sun. “It’s created way more tension than necessary.
“There’s been way more sex in the communal beds than ever before. That’s not just disrespectful—it’s also attention-seeking. Some of them are clearly trying to boost their screen time by being outrageous.”
The insider continued to allege, “Some of them are clearly testing the limits, trying to see how far they can push things to create buzz and steal the spotlight.”
A second production source added of the “wild” season, “Some of the cast seem to be here purely to stir things up.
“Casting was uneven. Some contestants came off as reserved and introverted before filming began, but once the cameras were rolling, it was like all rules went out the window.
“We’ve got great content for a strong season, but honestly, things are spiraling.”
BEDROOM ANTICS
The U.S. Sun previously reported on the amount of sex taking place in the communal bedroom while the other contestants sleep.
Huda Mustafa admitted to having sex with Jeremiah Brown, while Nic Vansteenberghe revealed his “25 seconds” of pleasure with Cierra Ortega.
Fans speculated Hannah Fields and Pepe Garcia also made love, as they were caught on camera appearing to get freaky under the covers.
A production source previously claimed to The U.S. Sun, “The sex has gotten out of control. It’s like that’s all some of them are thinking about.
“There are no boundaries—they’ll do it anywhere, even in the communal beds. A lot of them have zero shame, and it’s clear they’re pushing the limits of what’s ever been shown on the series.”
The insider said the trysts are “unmanageable” and “tensions are definitely rising among the production crew.”
“We’re having real disagreements about where the line should be," the insider claimed. "Some fans aren’t happy with the hypersexual behavior, especially when it’s happening so brazenly on camera.
“It’s turned into a jungle this year—we didn’t expect this level of intensity or this much sex.”
A second insider added the sex this season is “just too much.”
“It’s direct, unfiltered—they don’t care who’s watching or where they are. We’ve had to step in and ask them to tone it down because it was getting completely out of hand,” the source claimed.
The insider added, "not a sex party, but a dating show."
HURRICANE HUDA
Production has come under fire for the casting choices this season, especially hiring social media influencers.
Huda Mustafa, who is a fitness influencer, was in a whirlwind romance with Jeremiah Brown on the show that turned toxic.
Their relationship has caused concern among the other islanders - and America - as they have refused to get to know other contestants.
Huda also revealed her jealous side by arguing with Jeremiah and lashing out at bombshells for kissing during show challenges.
On the Sunday, June 15 episode, America chose Jeremiah to be recoupled with bombshell Iris Kendall to get him away from Huda, leaving everyone shocked over the vote.
Jeremiah did not console Huda after the recoupling, leaving her upset.
The next day, he went on a beach date with Iris, which was set up by the show.
When Jeremiah returned to the villa, Huda had a breakdown, and was dubbed "Hurricane Huda" by cast members and viewers.
Huda eavesdropped on his conversation with the men, where Jeremiah talked about wanting to "explore his connection" with Iris.
Huda exploded and cursed at Jeremiah, calling him a "b***h" and "p***y."
She then headed to talk to her rival Iris with the other Islanders soon joining in on the conversation, as they didn't want to leave the women alone because of Huda’s anger and behavior.
At night, Jeremiah pulled Huda into the speakeasy room for a chat to apologize, but she ended their relationship in a tearful exchange.
When it was time for a recoupling and elimination, Jeremiah picked Iris, leaving Huda heartbroken once again.
Fans called for Huda to leave the villa because of her behavior.
A production source claimed to The U.S. Sun, “There have also been some tough situations with certain cast members. What happened with Huda was particularly difficult. She’s had serious ups and downs, including emotional breakdowns.
“At one point, we seriously discussed pulling her from the show for her own well-being. She was overwhelmed. We brought in a specialist to evaluate the situation, and eventually, it was decided she’d stay.
“She’s learning to take things less personally, to stop putting so much pressure on herself, and to approach everything in a calmer, more constructive way. But it’s been hard on her, no doubt.”
A second production source alleged of the “tough” situation, “Despite her confident front, she’s vulnerable, and the environment has really gotten to her. She’s had moments where she lost control emotionally, and it impacted the whole vibe on set.
“Huda was close to being pulled from the show, but with help and some space, she chose to stay. She’s doing better now—calmer, more thoughtful.
"She used to have no boundaries at all, but now she’s learning to protect herself emotionally. If she hadn’t, she wouldn’t still be here.
“People don’t realize how intense this show really is - it’s way more than just being on camera. It wears people down.”
But after the islanders saved her from going home, she had a calm chat with Jeremiah and turned her story around.
Huda’s social media, which is run by her loved ones, has promoted her “redemption arch,” as she tried to form connections with Pepe Garcia and TJ Palma.
While Jeremiah was sent home in a shocking elimination, Huda respectfully apologized and wished him luck.
She is now exploring connections in Casa Amor and is coupled up with JD Dodard.
ACE IN THE HOLE
Fans believe Ace Greene, who is also a social media influencer, played a role in Jeremiah going home.
From day one, Ace, 22, has criticized Jeremiah for his strong connection with Huda and falling fast for Adreina Santos.
But despite his budding romance with Adreina, Ace played a part in voting him off the show, enraging fans as they believed he voted him off to stop him from winning the show.
Fans have even speculated Ace and Chelley Bissainthe are tricking fans to ensure the win.
On the premiere, Ace said, “I do know Chelley! I met her in New York actually. Outside of the club."
Chelley added, “We met and we were talking on Instagram and stuff. He lives in LA and I live in Orlando. This is insane!”
But The U.S. Sun confirmed the couple has known - and flirted with each other - for years before joining Love Island USA.
Before leaving for Fiji, Ace liked one of Chelley’s photos on March 10, 2025.
The likes and comments from Ace go all the way back to July 2022.
On Valentine’s Day in 2025, Ace, who teaches dance classes on social media, had his students ask her, “Will you be my Valentine, Chelley?," making fans think they may have been more serious than viewers thought.
Fans believe Ace’s behavior on the series could be a clue they may be “scamming” fans.
Jeremiah said of Huda after America’s vote, “We found a connection and we instantly liked each other and we explored that.”
Ace shot back, “I’m not going for that bulls**t. You lying bro. You acting like you all about that person day one. That’s scamming to me. How are you so sure about someone 30 seconds in? That’s a scam.”
Fans think Ace’s anger over his co-stars’ situation could be a tactic to get the heat off him.
“I’ve been saying Ace is on Jeremiah’s neck because they are competitors on a whole different game of scamming,” one fan claimed.
A second commented, “Ace’s hyper-emotional reaction to Jeremiah’s alleged ‘scamming’ has nothing to do with morality, and everything to do with being envious that someone is threatening his hidden agenda.”
A third said, “Yup, Ace screaming about Jeremiah playing the game when he has the same motive… Honestly, get rid of the cash prize. These guys make enough after the show anyways with the amount of followers they get on social media.”
“Exactly why I’m not voting for them. I honestly believe that they planned this,” a fourth believes.
But Chelley’s Instagram page shut down the rumors.
Reps for Love Island USA and Ace did not respond to The U.S. Sun's request for comment.
FINDING LOVE?
Fans have also been enraged by the lack of strong connections.
Charlie Georgiou was voted off by the contestants despite his bond with Hannah.
Hannah was then chosen to be dumped despite her relationship with Pepe Garcia.
On Tuesday night’s episode, Nic and Olandria Carthen were sent home despite being in strong couples as well.
Fans have slammed the show for its lack of strong connections and casting.
One fan wrote on X, “Fire the producers, casting crew, anyone who makes decisions because this season is terrible. the entire plot of the show is lost.”
A second commented, “Ace and Huda were casting mistakes.”
A third fired, “We lost jalen, bell-a, hannah, olandria, jeremiah and pretty much everyone who was there to find love.”
A fourth said, “Really hope production is listening to the viewers and stops putting influencers on this show bc the amount of TikToks I’ve seen of people going to the casting events just to be famous...”
