The conclusion of the ninth season of Summer House left fans with many questions, including rumors that the women of the series may star in their very own spinoff.
Would fans watch a Summer House spinoff?
Rumors of a potential spinoff starring the women of Summer House have been on everyone's mind following the conclusion of Season 9. These same fans are hoping that their wishes will be granted so that they can continue to watch life updates centered around Lindsay Hubbard, Paige DeSorbo, Amanda Batula, and Ciara Miller, and one that isn't them just partying on the weekends in the Hamptons.
When Bravo shared the Season 9 conclusion, fans immediately commented that these three ladies need their own show. "Give them a show. Call it the city and show their work life and hangouts," a fan wrote. "KEEP👏 THEESE👏 WOMEN👏 ON👏 OUR SCREENS👏👏!! THIS is the RHONY reboot. Scrap the others, sorry gals, but these ladies have the wit, heart, and humor to carry on the legacy of our first beloved OGs," another wrote.
A new series about Lindsay, Paige, Amanda, and Ciara has real potential. Instead of following them each and every weekend in the Hamptons, the show could follow their lives in New York City, highlighting their busy careers, relationships, and their friendships. Viewers would see Lindsay navigating motherhood, Paige thriving professionally and possibly even dating again, Amanda and Kyle Cooke discussing their future plans, and Ciara embracing the city while also exploring the dating scene.
Paige and Ciara didn’t do much to shut down spinoff speculation when they liked an Instagram post asking fans if they’d watch a show featuring the women. Their subtle endorsement only fueled rumors that a new series might actually be in the works.
A Reddit user shared the post in a thread who then also shared a screenshot of those that liked it, which included both Paige and Ciara.
Commenters on the Reddit thread reacted to the post and several of them were on board with a spinoff. "Add Lindsay and it’s a yes for me. I’ve loved seeing the girls all getting closer, especially through Lindsay’s pregnancy. I think it would be way more interesting to see them at work events, going out in the city, dating life etc then the same theme parties over and over again in the Hamptons," a comment read.
"I MEAN RIGHT??!!!! FOR REALS!! I agree..HANDS DOWN!!!"
"The women's dynamic over the past couple of seasons is why the show got so popular. it's was a poor move by Bravo to make the season about two newbies. Honestly all the preseason 9 women, plus Kyle and even Carl, would make for a great spinoff while the gentleman left behind would keep Summer House alive," a person suggested.
After Paige announced in June that she would not be participating in the tenth season of Summer House, Lindsay suggested that fans may see her again, whether that was on a new reality TV show or back in the Hamptons.
"I think fans are onto something," she told Us Weekly with a wink to the camera. Additionally, Lindsay shared that it was "going to be sad" not to spend the summer with Paige this season, but she does see her returning in the future. "I don’t think she’s gonna be gone forever. I don’t think, you know, we can fully let her go. We’re gonna all get our lassos out and be like, ‘Get back here!'" Lindsay told the outlet.
As for Lindsay's future on Summer House, she recently revealed with an Instagram post that she'll be back, despite being a new mom.
"BFFR of course I’m coming back this summer. It’s just going to look a little different for me since I’m a whole a** mom now 🤱🏼."
In addition to Lindsay's return, OG couple Kyle and Amanda also confirmed they will be back for Season 10. Speaking to Page Six, Kyle shared, "Yes, we're coming back. We feel very lucky to keep doing our thing. I think it should be a good summer."
It's still unclear whether Jesse Soloman, West Wilson, or Gabby Prescod would also be returning. As for Ciara, she has kept quiet about her possible return, but she did state that she "can't imagine" herself doing a summer without her BFF Paige.
However, Ciara did agree that it "makes sense" for them to eventually depart a reality show that heavily focuses on partying and drinking. "We’re supposed to, like, you know, find a partner or get married. Or do whatever our hearts desire. But yeah, I mean I think it would make sense, but it just depends on, like, where we’re at, you know?'" We're guessing Kyle would have a different take...
Newbie Lexi Wood is also out for Season 10 after a sour breakup with Jesse last season. Additionally, season one star Imrul Hassan has also announced his exit.
