‘So violent’… Ex-lineman is in total agreement over Philadelphia Eagles, ‘call it what it is’ - suong

Jalen Hurts is riding high and analysts are asking themselves how the team is doing this besides Saquon Barkley.

Jalen Hurts is one win richer after defeating the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football. The Eagles quarterback had been given plenty of predictions about how the season would turn out, but with the win on Thursday, the team is back in the driver’s seat in the NFC East.

Nick Sirianni has seen his fair share of criticism as well. However, seemingly overnight, the team and its head coach have both seen a period of easing tensions. The Philadelphia Eagles are now 8-2 and seemingly on a course very different from last year when they trended down after riding high all season long.

Aside from blurting out Saquon Barkley’s name, fans and analysts are still working on explaining the team’s new offensive structure this season. One analyst believes he has the answer and it’s as simple as it gets.

Brian Baldinger describes Eagles football

NFL analyst Brian Baldinger broke down some of the plays ran by the Eagles, holding the camera up to a screen showing the offense in action. After showing some plays in action, he summed up what was going on.

He wrote: “Lane Johnson described the Birds offense by saying this, “Just run and hit something”. So simple. So true. So Violent. So much fun to watch.”

Baldinger added: “Bam, run and hit something. That’s the offense right there. Just call it what it is. Run and hit something. Good things happen. That’s football. That’s Eagles football. Run and hit something,” he said.

The command is simple but effective. High schools, middle schools, and even pop-warner coaches might take that one in teaching their players how to approach the game.

Put simply, one cannot be shy when playing the sport. You don’t wait to get hit. You go out and do the hitting.

Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley move into second leg of two-game primetime run

The Eagles were given the attention of the league on a silver platter in Week 11 and they capitalized. Next week, they get the same attention once again.

Jalen Hurts and Co. will face Matthew Stafford and the 4-5 Los Angeles Rams. While the step down in record is apparent, Hurts will be cautioned to avoid taking the game lightly. The Rams could be desperate coming into the contest. If the Eagles walk into Sunday Night Football patting themselves on the back, they could find themselves nursing their egos on the way out.

As it stands, the Eagles have reason to celebrate, but will they let it go to their head?
