Porsha Williams is opening up like never before about her ongoing divorce from Simon Guobadia. In a never-before-seen preview clip from the upcoming Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which played during the #NoFilter Panel at Bravo Fan Fest in Miami on Nov. 23, the mom and entrepreneur shed new light on her split and how she's navigating the breakup during which Porsha also candidly opened up about the split.
In the teaser moment (seen below), Porsha is heading to a meeting with her lawyer, Randy Kessler, who she has a history with as RHOA fans will recall. "It is definitely crazy having to call Randy again and saying, 'I've got to file for divorce,'" she shared in the sneak peek, which highlights her connection to the lawyer from when she divorced Kordell Stewart over a decade ago back in 2013. "My divorce from Simon, I haven't dealt with the emotional part yet. I've had to deal with logistics. It's really weird. It feels really cold."
In her conversation with Randy, she addresses why she was steadfast in her decision to get a prenup with Simon: "I had to be more responsible this go round because I have a child."
Elsewhere another confessional, Porsha added, "In my relationship with Simon, I felt like that if I had him by my side we could conquer anything. However, I started just realizing a lot of different things that turned out to be untruth."
Back in the lawyer's office, Porsha reveals that her estranged husband "wouldn't tell me what our finances were. I'm not gonna let a foreclosure notice come to my house and I can't pay it. I wanted to make sure if it happens, I have the money to help us do what we need to do."
Later in confessional, she addressed the timeline of her divorce filing. "I felt the need to file when I did to protect assets," she said, noting that they each have a 50/50 interest in their home and she was in the process of getting clearance from her ex to film there. "Our home is very important to me. It literally was what we both wanted when we envisioned the future... I have definitely made it a home."
Porsha and Simon married in November 2022 before confirming their split in February 2024. They don't have any children together; Porsha does have a daughter, Pilar Jhena McKinley, whom she co-parents with her ex, Dennis McKinley.
During the Bravo Fan Fest Panel on Saturday, Porsha reacted to that upcoming RHOA Season 16 moment (the outcome ended up "being a success") as well as some "recent headlines" regarding her ex and how she's been leaning on her family amid the drama.
Elsewhere on the panel, Porsha opened up about her return to RHOA: "Maybe I'm just made for this," she said. "I wanted to be unfiltered this season."
