Jennifer Aydin hinted at what was “cut” out of Real Housewives of New Jersey, including “reads” she would have “all the time,” and she revealed how production would respond.
In the last season, Jennifer feuded with Margaret Josephs and Melissa Gorga, who were constantly at odds with Jennifer’s friend Teresa Giudice. According to rumors, Bravo put the show on hiatus due to frustrations over the cast divide.
On X, Jennifer reacted to a series of clips highlighting her many digs toward Margaret and Melissa at a past reunion.
“The crazy thing about this clip is that I have reads like that all the time – it’s automatic for me,” wrote Jennifer in a comment, via @therealityrundown on Instagram. “My producer & even the crew have to hold their mouths, laughing during my confessionals – ask them!”
But Jennifer said fans won’t “ever see any of it” because they “cut 90% of my s**t out.”
In a 2022 interview for ET, Jennifer addressed Margaret’s suggestion that Jennifer was a hypocrite for calling out her past affair after Jennifer’s husband, Bill Aydin, had his own affair decades ago.
“[I] wasn’t mad that [Margaret] was a cheater,” said Jennifer at the time, referring to Margaret’s infidelity with her now-husband Joe Benigno. “I was just annoyed or irritated at the way that she boasted about it, because [Joe’s] got an ex-wife somewhere — and she has an ex-husband and she has stepchildren — and doesn’t she know how hurtful this is to constantly repeat it over and over? … I would be very hurt if my husband bragged about this infidelity.”
“I just kept wondering what was her purpose on just almost making [her affair] a headline, like it was funny,” she continued. “We were at a party last year and she was saying how Joe used to wash the stench of her off before he went home to his wife, or something to that effect… It’s TMI. We don’t need to know.”
She suggested that Margaret “premeditated” how she would reveal Bill’s past cheating on camera.
“I’m sure she was planning it,” she explained. “Like, what, are you trying to embarrass me in the public? Trying to gang up on me? I’m not going to take that. So that’s one of the reasons why it ignited me to call Margaret a snake.”
