In the summer of 2024, Andy said RHONJ was getting a “reboot.”

“We are rebooting the show,” Andy said when a fan called into the “Andy Cohen Live SiriusXM” radio show. “We’re gonna reboot it. We’re gonna do something different.”

Rumors began to swirl that the series was officially getting a “reboot,” but the Watch What Happens Live host walked back his claims just a few days later.

“I was just riffing,” Andy explained. “We are going to reimagine the show in some way, and I was just like, ‘Yeah, we’re rebooting. … Who knows? Maybe it’ll be all fresh faces.’ And that was just me kind of in the mood.”

In another episode of the “Andy Cohen Live SiriusXM” show on July 15, 2024, Andy agreed with a fan’s opinion that it was time for a shakeup in the cast. While the caller said they enjoyed the “fresh” and “young” additions of cast members Danielle Cabral and Rachel Fuda, they felt like there was too much “negativity” between some of the series’ longtime stars like Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga.

“We’re gonna figure something out. We are all on the same page about that,” Andy replied when the caller suggested it was time to “set them free.”

No Film Date Has Been Set for ‘RHONJ’ Season 15

“I don’t know when we’ll be filming again because we’re in trouble,” Dolores said. “We really don’t know. Nobody knows.”

What Have ‘RHONJ’ Stars Said About a Possible Reboot?

Andy admitted that the negativity within the cast was causing issues and things had to change.

“I just think that there’s a supreme level of kind of distrust amongst the cast with each other and that’s never healthy in terms of trying to make a great television show,” he said during a June 2024 appearance on SiriusXM’s “Reality Checked” podcast.

Melissa has also confessed that the animosity between the stars was too much.

“I think things have gotten really toxic. There’s two of my cast members that have played really dirty behind the scenes and it’s coming out. It’s all coming out, because it always rises to the top, it always comes out in the laundry. It’s been years, so it’s all coming forward,” Melissa explained during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
