Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has emerged as a strong candidate to replace Mike McCarthy. Even Coach Prime's own son, Shedeur Sanders, weighed in during his “2Legendary” podcast, as posted by the official Overtime X account.
“It's a decision on him," Shedeur Sanders said when asked about whether it'd be cool for his dad to coach the Cowboys. "It's not really up to me. I don't really have a say-so in anything at all."
Remember that the Cowboys' struggles in 2024 have placed owner Jerry Jones under pressure to make significant changes, with many fans calling for a fresh direction. Reports also suggest that offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer could also be in contention.
That said, the allure of Hall of Famer and Cowboys legend Deion Sanders looms large. Known for his charisma and transformative leadership, Coach Prime has turned struggling programs into winners.
This includes his recent success at Colorado, where he led the Buffaloes to a 9-4 season and oversaw a Heisman-winning campaign for two-way star Travis Hunter.
