A former Love Island bombshell has opened up about what Shakira is really like in the villa as fans have slammed a "mean girl edit".
Thursday, July 24, saw chaos in the Love Island villa following the return of the Grafties. Shakira Khan and Toni Laites were voted as the Best Double Act, which resulted in tears being shed, and Harry's behaviour also came to light.
Love Island bosses had promised the "messiest night in showbiz" as the awards ceremony airs Islanders' private moments to the villa, with the public deciding the winner of each category. And the show certainly brought the drama.
During the episode, viewers issued the same complaint as they slammed the "unfair clip" shown for Toni and Shakira, compared to the other islanders. It came after Shakira had been struggling with her emotions and unresolved feelings towards Harry.
Now, bombshell star Andrada Pop has revealed what Shakira is really like in the Love Island villa. Andrada came as a Casa Amor bombshell and soon coupled up with Ben Holbrough, but they were shortly dumped from the show after being voted as the least compatible couple.
Speaking to Heatworlduk on TikTok, Andrada said: "I feel like Shakira has been really put out there to be very confrontational and mean girl or what not, and I just feel like certain bits that maybe people don't see is like the day dot when I came in there she was so caring.
"She took care of me, she took me under her wing." Andrada added Shakira would give her an outfit and make up every night and regularly checked in, as she went on to say: "I feel like that's the side of Shakira that we don't see because we see the side where she's very confrontational and stands on her business. But she has a very, very soft side and she's very loving."
And fans were quick to have their say. One person replied: "Shakira isn’t a mean girl. Most of us can see it despite of the ‘edit ‘."
Another wrote: "Shakira is amazing and she does not deserve this!" A third added: "Shakira is a queen we see it, we are mad at the producers!!" A fourth commented: "Puurrrr she’s the nicest in that Villa."
Another said: "I’m so happy one of the islanders have said this I’m sick of Shakira getting a mean girl edit."
One fan echoed: "I don’t see that, she seems caring and too good for love island."
