Below Deck‘s Chef Anthony Iracane confirmed his ex-wife is still dating his uncle.
During the Monday, June 16, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Anthony blamed various issues in his personal life for his exit from season 11.
“I went through a lot of emotion,” he recalled. “I divorced my ex-wife, who left me for my uncle. So that’s kind of a crazy thing. Then my dad passed and I was going through a lot.”
Host Andy Cohen interrupted Anthony to ask more about his ex. The chef confirmed that his split happened “six months” before he joined the St. David.
“I jumped on the boat with all of this on my mind,” Anthony noted. Andy, meanwhile, followed up by asking whether Anthony’s ex-wife was still with his uncle.
“Yes, and they want to make a family,” Anthony revealed, joking that “it’s kind of cool” to see who he would be to his uncle’s child. When asked whether he was still in touch with his uncle, however, Anthony said “absolutely not” and claimed he never received an apology.
While Andy seemed surprised by the revelation, Below Deck fans are very familiar with the lore, which Anthony brought up one season prior.
“I wish I could be in love like that with somebody,” the chef told cameras during a February 2024 episode of Below Deck. “I got married when I was 26. We had a lot of plans to create a family. It was a big deal.”Anthony recalled what caused his marriage to fall apart, adding, “So long story short, one of my uncle[s] is a captain. He [found out] that she is a chief stew and he [found] her a job. I still have no text from her. No phone call. I guess she just left me for my uncle, you know? It was kind of pretty s****y.”Anthony recalled what caused his marriage to fall apart, adding, “So long story short, one of my uncle[s] is a captain. He [found out] that she is a chief stew and he [found] her a job. I still have no text from her. No phone call. I guess she just left me for my uncle, you know? It was kind of pretty s****y.”
Despite the setback in his personal life, Anthony said he is hopeful for his future. “So for the moment, I’m literally in love with my cat,” he added.
Anthony ended up leaving St. David before the charter season was over. He came back in season 12 after Chef Lawrence Snowden decided he couldn’t keep working on a yacht with cameras. Chief steward Fraser Olender vouched for Anthony, but based on sneak peeks of what is yet to come, the duo have issues to hash out.
“Coming back to the boat, I have a lot of different emotions inside of me,” Anthony admitted to the cameras. “I love Fraser, but I was feeling like maybe he betrayed me? I need to find the right moment to talk about my feelings and to put everything on the table.”
