Shannon Beador claims her ex-husband’s new wife, Lesley Cook, rejected the baby gift she sent them.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star insisted — after Cook claimed she never received a present — that her daughters hand-delivered the gift when they were visiting their father David Beador and Cook.
“The girls said, ‘Mom got you a gift,'” Shannon said this week on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live.” “And David said, ‘That’s nice.’ And she said, ‘I don’t want it.'”
When asked what she gave them, Shannon, 57, said, “I didn’t want to go over the top. I wanted to be thoughtful.
“So I bought a Madeline doll and three of the hardback books, and I said, ‘Congratulations on the birth of your child.'”
She added that it was her daughters’ — Sophie 19, and 16-year-old twins Stella and Adeline — favorite growing up.
“It was just little, like, 75 bucks or something, you know, so I sent it with the girls to bring to the house,” Shannon explained, with her boyfriend John Janssen confirming the story.
Shannon also said she’s never met Cook.
“That’s another thing, that’s two-and-a-half years spending half time with my children. Why haven’t we met? John and I just were perplexed.”
David popped the question to Cook in January 2020 and they announced they were expecting their first child together in July of that year. They revealed that they were having a daughter in October and got married that same month. They welcomed baby Anna in February 2021.
Shannon and David finalized their contentious divorce in April 2019, two years after Shannon filed to end their marriage.
While they were married for 17 years, the end of their relationship was rocky on “Real Housewives of Orange County” after David admitted to having an affair.
It appears things are still not smooth sailing for the exes.
