In the world of Real Housewives, there’s nothing more powerful than a receipt, and Shannon Beador just dropped the biggest one of the year. Moments after Real Housewives of Orange County reunion aired, she took to her Instagram to share a picture of the wire transfer she sent to John Janssen. Clearly, she wants the world to know that she has paid her dues and is moving on.
The battle over Shannon’s facelift dragged on for over seven long months, but earlier this week, the news broke that they settled. The world cheered, and her lawyer explained that it was the best decision for her both financially and emotionally. This receipt proves that.
“I have no doubt in my mind that Shannon would prevail in this matter, but the cost of defending the case would easily be more than the amount that was sought,” her lawyer shared in a statement.
Although John originally claimed that Shannon owed him $75,000, Shannon’s wire transfer shows only $60,000 going to John. On Instagram, she captioned the picture with “Enjoy…,” tagging both John and Alexis Bellino.
We still don’t know the exact details of how they came to $60,000, but Shannon argued throughout RHOC that she spent plenty of money on John throughout the course of their relationship. She had a purse full of receipts to back it up.
“This is the sh-t I spend my time at home doing now,” Shannon told her castmates before pulling out a stack of papers during their trip to London.
“Airfare for four trips, $13,411,” Shannon presented. “Every family dinner that we went to, $618.”
By the time she finished crunching the numbers, Shannon claimed she spent $60,891.40 on John throughout the course of their relationship. Add on the lawsuit settlement, and that puts her $120,891.40 in the hole. However, it’s a small price to pay for this to be over.
