Shamea Morton Apologizes to Entire RHOA Cast After Dramatic Reunion

Well, this might be a first. Hours before Bravo aired the third part of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 reunion, Shamea Morton took to her YouTube page with a message. In the 40-minute video, the RHOA star addressed her behavior throughout Season 16. Surprisingly, she offered up an apology to every single one of her castmates. She’s hoping for a clean slate before cameras start rolling on Season 17.

Shamea Morton wants a fresh start with the RHOA cast after Season 16

Throughout Season 16, Shamea found herself feuding with pretty much everyone on the cast. Her lifelong friendship with Porsha Williams crumbled right in front of the Bravo cameras. She argued with Brit Eady and took shots at Drew Sidora on Porsha’s behalf. It felt like a lot.

During the reunion, Andy Cohen challenged Shamea to find a better way to vocalize her frustrations with her friends. Perhaps a YouTube channel is her way of doing that? In her latest video, titled “Dear Sweet 16,” Shamea talked extensively about the RHOA reunion. She admitted to feeling “in her head” during the sitdown.

Around the 20-minute mark, the video faded to grey, and sad music played as her mom and cousin came onto the screen and led Shamea in prayer. Her mom also gave some words of encouragement in her feud against Porsha. Remember, Mama Morton has beef with Porsha’s mom.

“We don’t claim any of that craziness, that ratchetness,” Shamea’s mom said of the Season 16 drama. “And just because somebody gets loud, so much louder than you, that doesn’t mean they’re right.”

After the prayer session, Shamea felt moved by her mother’s words. She concluded the video with an apology to the entire cast of Season 16. From Kelli Ferrell to Angela Oakley, Shamea wants a clean slate.

“My elders and my family, they never steered me wrong, so I just want to start by saying, to all of the ladies on the Sweet 16 cast, starting with Porsha, Drew, Angela, Brit, Kenya [Moore], Cynthia [Bailey], Kelli,” Shamea continued. “Phaedra [Parks] even coming in at the end, I’m sorry.”

“If I ever offended you, if I’ve made you feel less than, inferior, insulted you, hurt you in any way — I’m sorry,” she added. “I hope that we can start fresh, and I wish you nothing but the best. And that prayer, I hope it leaves this room and enters into your heart and into your household, and that’s a wrap on Season 16.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is streaming on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
