When Jax Taylor opened his sports bar, Jax's Studio City, in October 2023, he did so after his pals Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval had opened two establishments of their own (Tom Tom and the now-closed Schwartz & Sandy's). Now, in the video above, Jax reveals why his establishment is the "number one" spot in the group (or, you know, West Hollywood).
"Welcome to Jax's Studio City!" The Valley cast member beams in the clip as he gives BravoTV.com a tour, bringing us into the beautifully cozy locale that greets visitors with a stunning "flower wall" (the brainchild of Jax's ex, Brittany Cartwright).
Turning to the other wall, Jax points to a neon light-up sign that recalls his famous "I'm the number one guy in this group" line from Season 4, Episode 16 of Vanderpump Rules.
"Obviously, you're at the number one bar in the group," Jax quips in the video tour as he gestures to the sign. "Not to throw any shade at my buddies Tom and Tom, but you know me, I gotta throw a dig here and there."

In addition to Jax's kitschy sign, we were enthralled with the other aspects of the space, including the cozy booths against a gorgeous palm leaf wallpaper.
Jax also detailed the delicious menu items at his establishment, including "amazing" hot wings and top-rated pizza. "Obviously we have it really sexy in here, we got some plants, we got candles," Jax shared of the beautiful space.
And even though he threw a little playful "shade" earlier at Schwartz and Sandoval, he also blew up a photo of himself and Tom Schwartz and hung in the back to give Schwartz a designated area.
Jax Taylor explains how Lisa Vanderpump inspired his bar business
In a recent conversation with The Daily Dish, Jax Taylor opened up about his dreams of building a business empire similar to that of his former Vanderpump Rules boss, Lisa Vanderpump. Reflecting on his past as a bartender at SUR, Jax admitted it “would be great” to create a central hub with a similar concept.
“I hope The Valley can follow more of Jax’s Studio City,” he said. “I mean, that’s kind of the dream, right? I could be the next Lisa Vanderpump.”
Still, Jax emphasized that his current priority is ensuring the success of his Studio City sports bar, which he says is thriving. “It’s doing so well, and I’m so happy for the bar; I’m so happy for the employees. Everyone is having a good time,” he shared. “It’s a dream come true to have a bar, especially a sports bar, ’cause I’m such a sports guy, so yeah. It’s doing really well. We’re happy about it.”
