Scheana Shay revealed the real reason she unfollowed James Kennedy after being called out by Zack Wickham, and she suggested it was “coincidental” that she unfollowed him on “the same day” a photo surfaced of the Vanderpump Rules star with the Tate Brothers, who have been accused of human trafficking and sexual assault.
In a recent post, Zack called it “sh***y” that the “final straw” before Scheana, Ariana Madix, and Katie Maloney unfollowed James was a picture he posted of “problematic horrible people,” but not when James himself was being a “problematic horrible person” to her friend Ally Lewber.
Back in December, James was reportedly arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence. He ultimately wasn’t charged, though he’s since posted that he’s sober from alcohol. Shortly after, Ally moved out and broke up with him.
“I wanted to give a little context to [me unfollowing James],” said Scheana on her Scheananigans podcast, via @breakingtherulespodclips on Instagram. “I DM’d Zack [about this] and he didn’t open it for many hours. But then he did and just left it on seen. So I’m sure you’re gonna hear this, so here it is…”
“I did not unfollow James recently because of him posting with the Tate Brothers. It was actually coincidental timing,” claimed Scheana. “When all of the stuff with him and Ally happened back in December, [I] immediately unfollowed [him] from [my daughter] Summer‘s account.”
“Also, I know how James is. I know how he was with his breakup with Raquel and feeling like everyone took Raquel’s side and then that just made things harder for Raquel,” she went on. “At the time, Ally was not ready to unfollow him, and so I just followed suit.”
According to Scheana, she knew “everything that happened” on the night of his arrest because Ally “told me the whole story.” Scheana said she continued following him to “keep the peace.”
“[But] he’s on mute. I’m not liking his s**t. I’m not commenting on his s**t,” she continued. “But recently [Ally] had reached out to me and was like, ‘I think it’s time I need to unfollow him.’ I was like, ‘Alright, girl … If you’re doing it … I don’t want to follow him anymore because the following looks like I’m supporting him.”
“I wish him well,” she added. “I hope he’s continuing on a sobriety journey, same as Jax [Taylor]. You know, you can love them from afar … I just don’t need you in my inner circle anymore.”
Scheana claimed she coincidentally unfollowed him on “maybe … the same day” that the “Tate Brothers stuff came out.”
