Scary scene emerges from the New York Rangers vs Philadelphia Flyers game on Thursday night as Flyers forward takes a skate blade straight to the face.
During the New York Rangers vs. Philadelphia Flyers matchup on Thursday night, K'Andre Miller and Anthony Richards were battling for a puck when the Flyers centre fell to the ice and took Miller's skate straight to the face.
An incredibly scary moment as everyone at Madison Square Garden fell silent as their hearts sank due to Richard's taking a blade right to the face.
Luckily there seemed to be no cut and Richard is okay 🙏
Thankfully, there was no blood on Richards face and he appeared to be okay, as this scenario could have resulted in him having to exit the game or even lead to something way worse.
Obviously there was zero intention from Miller as it was a complete accident, as Miller was simply trying to skate away from him with the puck and Richards took a tumble.
Miller then showed some great sportsmanship and checked up Richards even apologized.
This could have ended in very bad fashion, but thankfully this time everyone appears to be okay, and the New York Rangers manage to take a 6-1 victory and extend their 10-game point streak, 7-0-3 since January 5th.
