Sam Thompson seemed to sassily confirm he’s completely over Zara McDermott during a recent podcast appearance.
The Made in Chelsea alum spoke to former Love Island contestants Indiyah Polack and Amy Hart on the Love Island: The Morning After podcast, and made it clear that he’d be more than ready to sign up for the ITV dating show.
Sam delved into what it’s like being in Casa Amor, and said: “I’ve got a question for both of you, then. Because I’ve never been in the villa.” He then exclaimed: “Like, I would love to!”
Sam’s comments came months after rumours of his split from Zara emerged at the very beginning of this year. Following the surprising announcement, an insider close to the former couple opened up about why Zara and Sam broke up, and made it clear that a mixture of issues had been plaguing their relationship for a while.

"Zara never felt like she was the priority with Sam. He always seemed to find someone or something to put before her," one source told The Sun, with another adding that while Zara loved Sam, there were still issues in their relationship.
“They are both selfish in their own right and want to be successful in business as individuals - but of course that comes at a price,” they said, adding: "Sam is very childish - it’s even become a part of his ‘showbiz persona’ - but Zara feels as though she’s getting older and wants to start being taken more seriously.”
Along with the differing personalities, the insider said Zara and Sam had different life goals, with Zara looking to move onto the next step while Sam was content as things were. They claimed that Zara was keen to start a family soon, while Sam was content to stick with focusing on work for now.
Sam recently spoke to the Mirror and opened up about the importance of therapy and his support systems amid the difficult time. Sam lives next door to his sister Louise, along with her partner Ryan Libbey and their son, Leo.
Sam gushed: “ One of my biggest comforts, if I'm ever going through a hard time, is my neighbours next door. I live my life at a very fast pace and there's a lot going on, so when I go to their place it's just such a family unit and it's a beautiful place to be. Louise is running after Leo, my nephew, and Ryan's running after Louise - it's all manic madness, but it's so warm and cosy and lovely. I'm very, very lucky to have my sister as my neighbour, and long may that continue.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, he shared: “I talk to people about struggling a lot actually. I go to therapy, I’ve been going to therapy for years, I do loads of stuff. For someone like me, it's really better to talk about how I feel and I'll never, I'll never stop that.”
