RICHARD Hammond's daughter Izzy is following in her dad's petrol-head footsteps and splashed out £50K on her first performance car.
The podcast host, who describes her career as "sometimes I do some driving, sometimes I chat", showcased the bright white Mercedes in a new Instagram post and YouTube video.
In her YouTube clip, 24-year-old Izzy told fans: "My new Mercedes is fast, but theres a very easy way to make it faster."
She then showcased a black box racechip, from Race Chip Tuning, which added huge power as she navigated the twists and turns of the Cheddar Gorge.
Izzy could be seen with her eyes wide in delight as she squealed her way around the tricky rural route, shouting: "That's a serious corner!"
Yet as she pulled up after her journey with video co-star Mike, she spotted a blemish on the motor just an hour in.
She had dented the bottom of the passenger-side door, with the mark clearly seen on camera.
After the video of her hair-raising route was posted to the DRIVETRIBE YouTube channel, owned by her father and his former Top Gear co-stars James May and Jeremy Clarkson, one fan was quick to post: "Denting your car the first time you drive it. What a Hammond thing to do."
Another fan put: "Came to Drivetribe for Richard but stayed for Izzy. Been great watching her car journey and can’t wait to see what she does with her new car."
A third mused: "Izzy has gone from kind of interested in cars to a full blown petrol head and I think we are all here for it haha."
One then added: "Just after Izzy put the dent in it: 'And on that bombshell, it's time to end.'"
A viewer then quipped: "I see crashing on corners is an inherited genetic trait."
On her personal Instagram page, she uploaded a selection of snaps showing her first journey and put: "Made a big girl purchase.
"Video up on @drivetribe all about the choice and my enormous (and possibly a tad farfetched) plans for mods. It’s going to be an animal"
She then added: "Once I’ve fixed the dent I immediately created on hour 1 of ownership."
Izzy is Richard's eldest daughter and has previously featured on the driving channel.
The pair also both both co-present Who Are We Now.
The hit series dives into men's mental health issues and how to successfully raise children in the modern day.
FAMILY CHANGE
Yet their own family unit was rocked when Richard and his wife Mindy split in January.
It was then reported how Mindy had "kicked him out to sleep in the castle's barn" as they navigated the break-up.
The couple then released a statement which said: "A little update from us; this Christmas we were together as a family and this year we will still be a family but just structured a bit differently.
"Our marriage is coming to end, but we've had an amazing 28 years together and two incredible daughters.
"We will always be in each other's lives and are proud of the family we created.
"We won't be commenting further and sincerely hope that our privacy and that of our children will be respected at this time. With Love, Richard and Mindy".
Izzy then promptly branded her dad an "idiot" and said he "wasn't there much" during his marriage split.
