There is already an icy chill among the ladies of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. During Season 5, it looks like Whitney Rose will be at the center of the drama. Hopefully, her relationship with Heather Gay is in a good place, because Whitney is feuding with Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow. Last season, Whitney dissed Meredith’s penchant for baths with her hubby. As for Lisa? Their issues caught Whitney by surprise.
Whitney Rose let her “guard down too soon” with Lisa Barlow
It seems that Meredith thinks that Whitney is “labeling” some of her co-stars. “I think that you know, Whitney says things and just has no regard for the consequences of the things that she says,” Meredith previously stated. “And she’ll speculate on things and say them as if they’re facts.”
Of course, Whitney stirred up some drama with Lisa when she called her the villain of Season 5 of RHOSLC. “Maybe I’m a villain to Whitney,” Lisa stated. “I just think Whitney doesn’t like the truth.” She added, “And how am I the villain? I think I’m the accountant, I always come with the receipts.” And a hot mic handy.
Of course, Lisa and Whitney have always sparred with each other. Well, Whitney weighed in on how quickly her relationship with Lisa deteriorated. “It was so quick that I didn’t even see it coming. It was one of those moments where I was mad at myself for forgetting who people really are and knowing the truth,” Whitney told Us Weekly. “When someone shows you who they are, believe them.”
She continued, “I was hopeful things would be different. I really thought that we were gonna be back to being friends, but it’s a lot harder said than done when you have resentment and a grudge holder.” Ouch! Whitney also felt that “letting my guard down too soon with trust” was a mistake.
As of now, Whitney couldn’t predict if her friendship with Lisa was over for good. “Let’s get through this season and we’ll see about that,” Whitney stated. “If it’s a one-sided self-serving relationship, I want no business with that.”
She also shared that perhaps the person who screams the most has the most to hide. “If you have to say you’re not a liar and if you have to accuse other people of lying,” Whitney stated, “again, you’re probably playing a very strong offense to deflect from the truth.” That is a good point.
It certainly sounds like Season 5 of RHOSLC is going to be on fire.
Season 5 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premieres on Wednesday, September 18 at 9/8c on Bravo.
