RHONY’s Ubah Hassan Claps Back at Critics Over Comments About Puerto Rico Beach, Says There’s “No Comparison” Between Herself & Brynn, and Reveals Why She Forgive Her So Quickly

Ubah Hassan clapped back amid fan backlash over her controversial comments about the beach in Puerto Rico. The star also suggested there’s “no comparison” between herself and Brynn Whitfield, and she revealed why she forgave her so quickly.

In the season finale of Real Housewives of New York, Brynn said Ubah knew she was sexually assaulted yet continued to suggest that Brynn might have slept with someone to get on the show. But Brynn later admitted that she didn’t know if Ubah ‘clocked’ what she had told her about the assault. At the reunion, Ubah hugged Brynn and told her she forgave her.

Earlier in the season, Ubah took heat from fans for complaining about the beach in Puerto Rico, the home of castmate Racquel Chevremont. She seemingly told Brynn not to swim in the water, suggesting it was dirty. Ubah later claimed at the reunion that she was talking about a puddle on the shore and not the ocean itself.

The day after the season finale, Ubah reacted to fan account @the.bravoholic, who called Ubah out for complaining about the beach.

“Have we met? I don’t do pretending – I say exactly what I think and feel, no passive b**ch behavior or denial needed,” said Ubah. “I was talking about the sewage, not the ocean, and she knew it because I told her directly. But hey, anything for a moment.”

The fan pointed out that Ubah told Brynn not to swim in the ocean.

“I [wasn’t] talking to her. I was talking to SAI,” Ubah responded. “I’m all for feedback, as long as it’s accurate. That’s all.”

Ubah also slammed the fan account for suggesting that Ubah’s comments dissuaded her from vacationing in Puerto Rico.

“My bad, didn’t know I was the official tourism board now,” said Ubah. “Stop acting like I’m running a travel agency or that my comment is stopping your trip to PR. Please.”

At one point, Ubah slammed the account for allegedly comparing her actions to Brynn’s.

“There’s absolutely no comparison between her and me – none. Zero. Nothing,” she said. “Not in this lifetime, the next, or ever after.”

But in another comment, the fan clarified that she was just calling out how quickly Ubah forgave Brynn, seemingly without extending the same forgiveness to other castmates.

On her Instagram Stories, Ubah shared why she chose to forgive.

“Many people are amazed by my ability to forgive, but I’ve learned that forgiveness is truly about protecting your own peace,” she said. “Your inner peace is far more valuable than any hurt that wasn’t yours to carry.”
