RHONY's Rebecca Minkoff Accused of Failing to Pay Content Creator Who Claims She Was Stiffed Twice and Has 6-Year Outstanding Balance

Rebecca Minkoff was just called out by content creator Kathleen Barnes of Carrie Bradshaw Lied, who claims the former Real Housewives of New York City star and designer failed to pay her for her work.

On the heels of Rebecca’s exit from the Bravo reality series, on which she was featured as a “friend” for just one season, Kathleen took to her Instagram Story with a couple of posts, accusing Rebecca and her business of having an outstanding balance as they suggested that the veil has been lifted.

“I like how Minkoff talks about supporting women yet doesn’t pay the content creators her business hires. Balance is still outstanding if they want to pay the LTK campaign from 2019!” Kathleen wrote in the first of her posts, as seen in a screenshot captured by Bravo and Cocktails on Instagram.

“Looks like all the dots connect on this gal,” she continued. “G’BYE PS – this is one of two times I haven’t been paid for my work in 10 [plus] years.”

In a second post, which featured Kathleen speaking to her followers, the luxury enthusiast acknowledged that after being stiffed and coming forward about it publicly, she’d likely never see the money she was owed.
“It is incredibly validating to see through the veil. And obviously, now I’m not gonna get paid because I’ve talked about this twice on the internet. And I never expected to get paid. I think after nearly six years of an outstanding balance, you just kind of throw in the towel. But mentally, I will never throw in the towel. Never,” she declared.

As RHONY fans have likely seen, Rebecca confirmed her departure on Instagram on Tuesday.

“2025 is a new beginning for me,” she wrote. “And with current events in the world, I am reminded [of] the importance of family, friends and community now more than ever. The last month has given me a new perspective on wanting to focus on my wildly amazing 4 kids, my supportive husband, my business of 20 years, the Female Founder Collective, my podcast and MY BOOK.”

“As much as I have learned along the way with this franchise and fans, I want to reprioritize the things that mean the most to me: designing, giving back, supporting women and raising my family,” she continued. “I am truly grateful for the experience, the friendships and the fans that have been part of this RHONY chapter. Time to turn the page.”

The news came just after an insider told OK! Magazine that Rebecca “[would] not be returning” because she was “relatively boring.”

No word yet on when a potential 16th season of The Real Housewives of New York City will begin filming.
