Erin Lichy addressed husband Abraham “Abe” Lichy‘s financial betrayal on Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
After sharing that Abe had hid their financial issues from her, as well as his sale of their Bitcoin, on The Real Housewives of New York City, Erin, 37, reacted to his explanation for doing so while also speaking of other show topics, including Brynn Whitfield‘s pot-stirring, Sai De Silva‘s calmer demeanor, and Ubah Hassan‘s boyfriend, Oliver Dachsel.
“It’s confusing, this one. There were other things that Abe had just, like, made decisions, and we’re partners and we have to talk about things, and I think that’s what really got to me,” Erin explained on the October 8 episode of WWHL. “There were a few that amounted to a good amount of money. He was trying to do the right thing and not stress me out. He knew I was going through a lot, but ultimately, I’d rather have the communication.”
In a cast confessional, Abe said he was trying to protect Erin by making financial decisions without her, and that didn’t come as a surprise to Erin.
“That’s what he thought he was doing,” she noted.
As for the pot stirring of Brynn, 37, Erin wouldn’t say if she created too much drama amid season 15.
“I think it depends on what she’s stirring,” she reasoned.
And as Sai, 43, turned over a new leaf, making an effort to be softer and less reactive, Erin said she saw a difference.
“Definitely. We’re human, so you’re gonna have moments of freak out, but she’s trying and she’s actively pursuing a better reaction in situations,” Erin confirmed.
When she was then asked who was responsible for what Jeff Lewis, 54, said on his radio show about Brynn’s finances and her potential male backer, Erin admitted she was under pressure during her time with Jeff, saying, “It was my first time on live radio ever.”
Looking back at their premiere tiff over the comment, during which Sai called Brynn “Satan,” Erin said she felt Sai went “a little far” with her reaction.
Erin then reacted to Jessel Taank, 44, not having her back and failing to set the record straight in regard to her supposed comment about Jenna Lyons, 56, being “poor.” As Erin explained, Jessel knew the statement was a joke.
“I think that’s why you saw that text where I said, ‘I’m so disappointed,’ which I guess was not the best wording sitch, but I knew that she knew the truth and that she could kind of just shut it down, but I think she was nervous, which I get,” Erin shared. “It’s nerve-racking, so I was a little annoyed.”
During the show, a fan wrote in and wanted to know why Erin had shaded Staten Island by seeming offended when Brynn suggested she was from there. But in response, Erin denied having done so.
“Two of my best girlfriends from college are from Staten Island. I have nothing against it I’m just not from there,” she revealed.
As for if she’d met Oliver and believed he was “the one” for Ubah, 41, Erin said, “Yes and yes.”
“He is adorable. They’re really perfect for each other,” she gushed. “I’m honestly so happy for her. I love being able to see that transition. She was single when I met her, and then she met him and everything changed.”
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Erin was asked if Sai and Jenna’s friendship would last and questioned about why they didn’t get along in the first place.
“I think they’re friends. They may not be the best of friends, but they’re friends for sure, and I don’t think it’s that they didn’t get along,” she shared. “I think Sai just heard a lot of things being in the fashion industry, and she just decided she didn’t like her.”
The Real Housewives of New York City season 15 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
