Let’s face it. Not everybody is sold on the reboot of the Real Housewives of New York. Seeing the original cast get kicked to the curb felt like a tough pill to swallow. Since then, it’s been an uphill battle for the reboot ladies to win over the love of the fans.
With Season 15 right around the corner, the RHONY crew is giving one final push to get folks to tune in. They’ve promised that Season 15 is going to be worth the watch.
Fashion, fierceness, and acceptance ahead for RHONY Season 15
Somehow, Bravo managed to get the full Season 14 cast to return for another round of RHONY, along with newbies Rebecca Minkoff and Racquel Chevremont.
When filming first started, it seemed like things weren’t necessarily going in the right direction. Sai De Silva got caught on a hot mic complaining about Rebecca’s lackluster performance. Then, Rebecca turned around and admitted to trying to fake fights with Jenna Lyons.
Despite the blunders, the cast feels confident about Season 15. In a recent interview with Parade, the ladies explained why the return of RHONY will be worth the wait.
Jessel Taank teased, “Even though we had done a season before, you just can’t predict or anticipate what’s going to happen.”
When asked about the themes we’d see in Season 15, she said it would be “shocking” and “funny.” Plus, she predicted we’d see “a lot of vulnerability” across the board. Part of that will be exploring Rebecca’s controversial background with Scientology.
Meanwhile, newbie Racquel said that fans should look forward to seeing “fashion” and “fierceness.” That’s something we expect from any Housewives show. However, Racquel also gushed about how she’s excited to show audiences her queer family. It’s something new for the franchise, and that’s something to celebrate.
“We’re going through the same sh-t everyone else is going through,” Racquel added. “We love, we laugh, we live, and I’m just excited about that, and hopefully maybe surprising some folks and making people more accepting perhaps.”
Season 15 of RHONY premieres on October 1 at 9/8c on Bravo.
