“RHONY” Alum Rebecca Minkoff and Husband Gavin Bellour Wrote Their 'Prenup' on a Napkin Before Marrying-quang

Rebecca Minkoff says ironing out her prenup with husband Gavin Bellour was a pretty simple task.

During an appearance on the March 24 episode of the Trading Secrets podcast, the Real Housewives of New York City alum, 44, recalled how just before marrying Bellour in 2009, she told him, "Babe, babe, we need a prenup."

At the time, Minkoff explained to host Jason Tartick, "I had nothing and he had nothing, but I knew I was going to be something and I knew he could be something."

So they put it in writing — on a napkin. "Somewhere there’s a napkin that’s like, ‘What’s mine is mine, what’s yours is yours,' is what it said," added Minkoff, who exited RHONY after joining the Bravo reality series as a Friend for season 15.

The fashion designer also revealed that she and Bellour — who now have four children together — have a special clause in their will. As she explained, it's a plan they have in case "I die" or "he shacks up with some new, hot, young thing."

When Tartick, 36, asked if this agreement was also written on a napkin, Minkoff replied that it's actually a "legitimate" contract in the event that she dies or the couple gets divorced. "He shacks up with someone. Immediately, all my assets, everything, goes into a trust for the kids. So that girl has no chance of getting anything that I made," she said.

If Bellour was to remarry, he's still "not out" of the contract, she added.

"It's just everything goes to the kids. And he can manage it, but he can't go buy her stuff with that money," Minkoff explained, noting that it was her mother who came up with the idea for the clause.

"I was like, 'That is smart.'" she told Tartick, prompting him to call it "such a power play."

"I wanted to just insert it — not that I don't trust my husband — but my mom was like, 'It's not that you don't trust your husband, but it's the spell another woman can cast on them after you're dead,' " Minkoff continued.

After starting their marriage with "nothing," both Minkoff and Bellour found success, as she predicted all those years ago. In 2022, Minkoff sold the high-end accessories and lifestyle brand she founded to Sunrise Brands for close to $20 million, she told Tartick. Bellour, meanwhile, is a producer and director who has worked on commercial projects for Red Bull, Netflix and more.

The couple welcomed their fourth child, son Leonardo, in January 2023. At the time, Minkoff told PEOPLE in a statement, "Leo entered the world as a peaceful and calm being," adding: "Our family is complete!"

She and Bellour also share daughter Bowie, 10, and sons Luca, 13, and Nico, 7.
