Rachel Fuda shaded Teresa Giudice’s House of Villains gig and suggested she and her husband John Fuda were “attacked” – as John released a statement about castmates trying to “disparage his character.”
On the recent season premiere of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa accused John of once being a drug dealer after he refused to meet privately with her husband Luis Ruelas.
“Hustling for a buck out here in these streets. You gotta do what you gotta do,” answered Rachel when asked about Teresa’s stint on House of Villains season two in an interview for Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. “She took the title. ‘I didn’t take the first punch,’ as she says, right? … So she called herself a villain.”
In the RHONJ season 14 trailer, Margaret Josephs alleged that Luis had ‘pissed away’ Teresa’s money, which led to rumors of money woes for Teresa.
Despite her drama with Teresa throughout the season, Rachel claimed she and her husband are doing great.
“I mean, our marriage is as strong as it’s ever been,” said the star. “I think the show has really helped us and propelled us in a positive direction because it brings you kind of back home to what’s important, and it kind of makes you united again in a weird way … I’m just really grateful to have him by my side through all of it.”
“If you come after my family, I’m going to defend them. I’m doing what anybody else would do. I didn’t go into the season thinking that’s what I was going to do. I definitely thought me, my husband or both of would be attacked, for sure. That was definitely in the forefront of my mind,” said Rachel, seemingly referring to Teresa’s claims about John’s past. “But I just think that to have a supportive husband in all of this and for him to really be involved in a career choice that I made, I’m just really grateful to have him by my side through all of it.”
Meanwhile, John also seemed to address Teresa’s accusation.
A statement released on his Instagram claimed cast members “have resorted to dredging up Mr. Fuda’s past in an apparent attempt to discredit him and undermine his reputation.”
“While I am not proud of every aspect of my history, I have worked tirelessly to overcome challenges and strive for a better future. I refuse to be defined by my past mistakes,” he wrote. “I will continue to rise above negativity and remain true to myself.”
