Newbie castmate Danielle Cabral accused Melissa Gorga of taking a piece from her clothing line without paying after Danielle’s friends spent “thousands of dollars” in Melissa’s store.
On a recent episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Melissa filmed herself promoting Danielle’s clothing line – at an event that took place in Melissa’s store, Envy.
During The Real Housewives of New Jersey After Show, in a clip shared by @nosmokenomore on Twitter, Danielle made the startling accusation.
“[Melissa] took an outfit from me and never paid me for it, and literally all my friends bought thousands of dollars from her store.”
“Are you serious?” asked her shocked co-star, Jennifer Aydin.
“And I know she’s going to say, ‘Well, I helped you!’ But in reality, she made a lot of money off of all the people that I brought into that store that day … [My outfit] wasn’t a lot, but she never paid me for the outfit she got.”
Danielle expressed that, if Melissa ever said she did Danielle a “favor,” Danielle would respond, “Thank you, I really didn’t get any sales from you promoting me.”
She added, “One [of my] friend[s] walked out, she’s like, ‘I don’t know what the f**k just happened. I just spent $700 in the store.'”
The star continued, “And [Melissa] was like, ‘I don’t do this for anybody. I did you a favor.’ You know, favor goes two ways in this situation.” She “a thousand percent” believes Melissa benefited more.
In a separate interview, however, Melissa expressed her belief that Danielle “gifted me a little cute thing,” though she “can’t remember.”
Newbie castmate Rachel Fuda then chimed in, claiming with certainty that Melissa “bought it.”
“It was a three-piece set. It was a gift. I have a good memory,” Rachel insisted. “It was like $25 I think she charged you.”
Melissa then asked if Rachel was actually present when the purchase took place.
“No,” she said. “You called me.”
“Oh,” responded Melissa, who seemed surprised by Rachel’s absolute certainty.
