Teresa Giudice’s fiancé, Luis Ruelas, can’t seem to catch a break.

According to a new report, Luis, who has been under fire for weeks on The Real Housewives of New Jersey due to his alleged past behavior with exes, is being sued for $114,000 for allegedly “refusing to pay” a vendor of a produce company he was working with in 2021.

In court papers obtained by The Sun, C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc sued Luis, along with a business partner and Produce Depot for $114,404. 40 on September 23, 2021, just one month before he proposed to Teresa in Greece.

“Produce Depot has failed and refused to pay for the commodities it ordered, received, and accepted from Plaintiff, despite due demand,” the documents claimed, noting that the business sold “fresh fruit and vegetables” to Luis’ company in October and November 2020.

Luis and his business partner “are or were owners, officers, directors, members and/or at least 10 percent shareholders of Produce Depot during the relevant time period, making them ‘responsibly connected,'” the documents continued. “[They were] responsible for the day-to-day operations [and] had full decision-making authority over the assets of Produce Depot.”

The Plaintiff also requested their attorney fees and interest be paid by the Defendants.

In their December 2021 response to the lawsuit, Luis and his co-defendants said they were “not individuals which are or were in custody, control or management” of the produce business and requested the case be dismissed.

Produce Depot then submitted paperwork revealing the business filed for bankruptcy on March 2, 2022, and they requested the lawsuit proceedings be postponed. And while the postponement was approved for Produce Depot and the listed business partner, the case against Luis and another defendant, who was added to the lawsuit at a later date, is ongoing.

The business filed for $1,660,488.10 in bankruptcy. And Luis was listed in the bankruptcy in regard to the pending lawsuit.

As RHONJ fans may know, this isn’t the first lawsuit filed against Luis in recent years. Teresa’s beau was also sued by an ex-fiancée in April 2020. At that time, the woman accused Luis of engaging in “controlling and abusive behavior” and said she was “threatened” by her former partner.
