The Real Housewives of Miami star Alexia Nepola and Todd Nepola have finalized their divorce, PEOPLE confirms.

"After thoughtful reflection, Todd and I have reached an amicable divorce settlement," Alexia said in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.

"While our marriage has legally ended, our relationship has not. We continue to love and support each other as we navigate this next chapter. We appreciate the understanding, love, and support from our family, friends, and fans," her statement added.

Court records reviewed by PEOPLE show that Alexia and Todd reached a marital settlement agreement on March 17.

While they stated they signed "freely and voluntarily with the assistance and advice of counsel," they asked for the settlement "to remain confidential and not have filed with the Court."

The settlement comes after Todd filed for divorce on April 11, 2024. The two got married in December 2021 after pushing their wedding date due to COVID restrictions.

During season 6 of The Real Housewives of Miami, there were rumors of financial woes between the couple after Alexia moved from her condo with son Frankie Rosello.

Although Alexia denied the rumors, citing the condo building being sold as her decision for the move, she later addressed the topic again when she brought the lease for her condo to prove financial troubles weren’t a family burden during the season 6 reunion. During the episode, she also confirmed that she and Todd shared a checking account.

Hours after news of the divorce filing was made public, Alexia addressed the matter on her Instagram Stories, saying she was "shocked and heartbroken."

"I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by my side supporting me during this difficult time. I'm praying for better times ahead," her statement said.

In November 2024, Alexia confirmed to PEOPLE that she and Todd were no longer living together and were not planning on spending Thanksgiving together. She noted at the time however, that the two were still "trying to figure things out."

"We're still working on getting better and getting stronger and figuring it out because we really do love each other a lot. We're seeing each other and learning to love each other better," said Alexia.

The Real Housewives of Miami is now available to stream on Peacock.
