Gina Kirschenheiter and her ex-husband, Matthew Kirschenheiter, finalized their divorce in 2019. And now, years later, details of their settlement are being revealed.
As Gina, 40, and Matt continue to co-parent their three children, including Nicholas, 12, daughter Sienna, 10, and son Luca, 9, the Real Housewives of Orange County star’s spousal and child support amounts have been revealed, as have what she and Matt took away from the marriage.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch Weekly on August 8, Gina and Matt signed off their divorce on August 16, 2019, just over a year after separating following seven years of marriage.
While Gina and Matt’s split was messy, with Matt being arrested for an alleged domestic encounter and Gina filing for a restraining order against him, the former couple agreed to share joint legal custody of their children, with Matt having the three kids on the first, third, and fifth weekends of each month.
Although the children were initially kept in one house, with Gina leaving during Matt’s time and vice versa, they later sold the home, which saw the kids traveling back and forth between each of their residences.
“Each party shall each be allowed to attend and participate in the minor children’s school and/or extracurricular activities. If both parties are at a child-related event, they shall remain peaceful at all times, and shall not communicate inappropriately, or harass the other parent while attending or participating in the activity,” their settlement read.
Gina and Matt agreed to go to therapy to improve their co-parenting relationship and not talk negatively about each other or their partners or friends in front of their kids or on social media.
As for the finances, Matt agreed to pay $4,500 per month in child support, which increased to $5,795 per month after they sold their home. He also agreed to pay more if his yearly commissions exceeded $412,608 and to pay $5,127 per month in spousal support until December 1, 2022.
Additionally, Gina got to keep her clothing, jewelry, a Chrysler Town and Country, her bank accounts, a retirement account, and a couple of credit cards, and Matt got a 2015 Lexus, several bank accounts, and retirement accounts, among other things.
Months after the settlement was reached, in June 2020, Gina and Matt agreed that he would no longer pay child or spousal support, at which point the RHOC cast member received a lump sum of $231,563.70.
While Matt was sentenced to 180 days in jail for the domestic dispute that occurred between him and Gina, he evaded doing time by completing a batterer’s program and three years of probation.
In the years since their split, Gina has been dating her current boyfriend, Travis Mullen. and Matt recently married his wife, Brittany.
