It looks like Shannon Beador's former husband, David Beador, will be celebrating the new year as a married man!
The "Real Housewives of Orange County" star's former husband's wife, Lesley Beador, reportedly pulled the plug on their ongoing divorce just a few weeks after she attempted to slam him with a restraining order.
David Beador and his wife Lesley Beador reportedly agreed to embark on an extensive couple's therapy weeks before this new development.
Lesley reportedly filed a motion to dismiss her divorce petition, which she filed in September, on October 23. The court granted her motion and dismissed the case on November 14
The dismissal came very timely as the couple had just decided to salvage their marriage by attending counseling sessions. The new decision marks the couple's fourth attempt at getting a divorce and circling back to work on their marital differences.
Lesley reportedly moved to legally end the marriage days after the court granted her a temporary restraining order. David's wife accused him of verbally abusing her and creating an unhealthy environment for her and their 3-year-old daughter, Anna Love Beador.
Per In Touch, Lesley claimed in the TRO request that David went on a verbal rampage on September 9 when her ex, Eriks, came to pick up their two children.
Lesley said David challenged her ex-boyfriend and yelled "all kinds of obscenities at Eriks while he waited in his car with the window up" to pick up their children.
She continued that "all the children were present and witnessed [David's] behavior toward Eriks. It was very scary. I recorded this whole incident and will provide the videos to the court," adding that all her children are terrified by David's conduct. She said:
"After this incident I received about 59 harassing texts from [David] in a row telling me I was 'having sex with him,' 'I should go have sex with him,' and was accusing me of all kinds of things that could never be possible. [David] truly needs help. He gets in an obsessive mania state."
Lesley noted that David's meltdowns are unpredictable, with no idea of how long they will last. She added, "These meltdowns, when they occur, are nonstop, even when he is working, and they cause me to live in fear and to worry about the effect on the children."
The Blast reported that the entrepreneur disputed the story and confirmed to the court in his declaration that Lesley chooses to describe him as abusive whenever he voices a contrary view to her opinions or expresses his views. In his words:
"She has a habit of texting me consistently for hours at a time, trying to spark a reaction out of me. I believe Lesley is angry because I cut off the unlimited spending ability on her credit cards over the weekend."
He tagged Lesley's actions as nothing but extortion and declared he was not required by law to foot her expensive lifestyle, adding that "Lesley will spin whatever story she needs to spin in the correct circumstance to get what she wants."
Following the bitter exchange between David and Lesley, the entrepreneur's wife decided to serve her husband divorce papers.
She noted that they could not work past their irreconcilable differences as a couple, hence the filing. Lesley also demanded legal and physical custody of their daughter.
The entrepreneur's wife indicated September 8, 2024, as their official separation date and demanded that the businessman settle the legal fees in the case.
Lesley also wished her last name be reversed to Cook, noting that the "full extent, nature and location" of any community property is unknown to her at the time of the filing.
In a surprising move, The Blast reported in September that David received legal help from his former partner following a traffic violation case amid the ongoing divorce at the time.
David was charged with one misdemeanor count of reckless driving and an infraction for unlawfully driving his vehicle at a speed higher than 100 miles per hour.
His former wife's attorney, Michael Fell, came to the rescue by representing him and helping him not plead guilty to the charges. Although it took seven months, David finally emerged as a free man.
David and Shannon seemingly have traffic violation cases in common, as the latter was previously arrested for driving under the influence a few months before his encounter with the police.
The Bravo star was taken into custody in September 2023 after she crashed her car into a private property in Newport Beach, California.
Will the 4th time be the charm for David Beador and Lesley Beador to get it right in their marriage finally?
