Vicki Gunvalson‘s son, Michael Wolfsmith, seemingly shaded her and other members of their family in the comments section of a series of photos he recently shared on Instagram.
As the Real Housewives of Orange County star reacted to the slideshow by praising her son as “cute,” Michael responded to one of his followers who pointed out that he is the “only normal one” in his family and accused the others, who include Vicki’s daughter, Briana Culberson, and son-in-law, Ryan Culberson, for their apparently close-minded views.
“The only normal one of the family who believes in democracy, science, and diversity,” the fan had written.
And in response, another spoke out in defense of Vicki and their family members, telling the first person, “You’re [an] extremely obnoxious and rude human.”
But according to Michael, who reacted to the second commenter, the first was correct in their statement.
“Nah he’s correct lol,” Michael confirmed.
Michael shared his photos on January 13 from West Vancouver, British Columbia, where he posed with a mystery woman that many believed could be his girlfriend.
And while Vicki didn’t comment on Michael’s claims about their family, she did post a message in the comments section of his post, applauding him as “cute.”
“Cute son,” she replied.
As RHOC fans may know, this isn’t the first time Michael has distanced himself from Vicki’s political stance and views. Back in 2021, amid her relationship with now-ex-fiancé and one-time gubernatorial hopeful Steve Lodge, Michael threw shade at her on Instagram after her role as the potential First Lady of California was discussed on Watch What Happens Live.
“Omg I can’t…” he stated. “Hopefully my mother doesn’t fund this disaster.”
Around the same time, amid a Q&A on his Instagram Story, Michael reacted to a fan who wanted to know how he and Vicki stay on good terms with one another, despite being on different sides of the political spectrum.
“We still love each other and we are both a little stubborn,” Michael explained. “We are [at] dinner together right now!”
Michael also addressed Vicki’s stance against the COVID-19 vaccine after sharing a photo of himself getting it.
“What does your mom think about you getting the vaccine? I’ve heard she’s an anti-vaxxer,” someone had asked in a comment
“She said ‘it broke her heart’ lol,” Michael replied.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 17 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime in the coming months.
