Garcelle Beauvais spoke heavily about the ongoing drama currently rocking the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast on The Real this week.
In addition to shading Erika Jayne for failing to show public empathy to the many former clients of Thomas Girardi who were reportedly robbed of settlement funds, which were allegedly then used to fund Erika’s lifestyle, Garcelle explained why she suddenly unfollowed Erika on Instagram last week.
“All I can say is, she called me something that I did not like, and so therefore, when somebody offends you in a way, I don’t want to see her posts, I don’t want to put a little like,” Garcelle explained, via Page Six. “So, I thought, I’m going to unfollow her, I don’t want to see her posts. Did I know it was going to cause World War 3?”
According to Garcelle, she didn’t think anyone would notice that she unfollowed her castmate. However, once she did, she heard from several of her friends.
“Friends were texting me going, ‘I can’t believe you unfollowing her is such a big deal.’ But it is,” she explained. “I guess it’s a new way of saying I don’t like you, but I don’t want to tell you, so I’m just going to unfollow you.”
Garcelle then confirmed that when it comes to her current relationship with Erika, the two of them are “not friends.”
As RHOBH fans may recall, Garcelle made waves when it was confirmed that both she and Sutton Stracke had unfollowed Erika. And just a short time later, after the matter was brought to Erika’s attention, she said, “Well [let] me unfollow her back.”
Although Sutton has since refollowed, Erika never unfollowed Garcelle and continues to follow Sutton as well.
Also on The Real, Garcelle addressed recent reports claiming Erika didn’t want to hand over a pair of earrings Thomas bought for her for $750,000, reportedly with his former clients’ money.
“I believe she’s giving them to a third party until it’s decided if she does have to give them back but… There’s so much more that she could do, even if she’s not guilty of knowing everything that Tom was doing,” Garcelle stated. “But this is a way of saying, ‘I have compassion for you and therefore take the jewelry, take the earrings, take the necklace.’”
Production on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to wrap later this month.
