Rachel Zoe filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Rodger Berman, on Monday in Los Angeles.
Nearly a year after publicly confirming they had separated after 26 years of marriage, the 53-year-old fashionista and stylist, who announced her addition to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in June, cited irreconcilable differences as she requested joint physical and legal custody of her and Rodger’s two children, sons Skyler, 14, and Kaius, 10.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ on July 22, Rachel listed her and Rodger’s date of separation as June 27, 2024, months before she shared a statement with her fans and followers on Instagram.
“After 33 years together and 26 years married, Rodger and I have come to the mutual decision to end our marriage,” Rachel wrote at the time. “We are incredibly proud of the loving family we have created and our countless memories together. Our number one priority has been and will always be our children.”
In addition to requesting the court restore her former name, Rachel, who appeared alongside Rodger on The Rachel Zoe Project from 2008 to 2013 and on Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe in 2015, asked for joint physical and legal custody of their sons.
As noted by Page Six, who was first to share details about Rachel’s custody request, the RHOBH newbie also declined spousal support and stated that she wants Rodger’s potential ability to collect from her to be blocked.
While reacting to Rachel’s addition to RHOBH weeks ago, Andy Cohen, 57, on his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live, admitted he was “really rocked by the news” of her and Rodger’s breakup.
“We are so excited … to have Rachel, and it’s so wild. She really fits. She knows [Kathy Hilton] well. She knows Kyle. She knows Boz. She was just on Boz’s podcast. She knows Jennifer Tilly, so she really knows. I think that she must know [Sutton Stracke] from being around. It’s just a perfect fit and she’s at a real transitional moment in her life,” he added.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 is currently in production and expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
